The quarterback position has been a rollercoaster this season. The major underlying conclusion that we need to walk away with, though, is this. Rushing is king, except for you, Anthony Richardson. The top five this week are all elite runners of football, and that looks to be the high-floor and high-ceiling options that are staples on winning rosters right now. After that initial tier, two large groups of largely pocket passers can, at any given week, be the QB6 or the QB18. It’s a volatile market and one that you don’t want to find yourself having to guess about.
The one player we have to talk about is Anthony Richardson. The ceiling is evident, but the floor is under the basement. He does not have an easy schedule and has shown little evidence of being an NFL-caliber passer. If there are managers who are buying the highlight reel, you should be selling.
