The List: Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 4

PPR fantasy football positional rankings, including top 150 FLEX players, for Week 4.

Looking at the wide receiver position thus far this season, it’s hard not to look at the top 10 for Week 4 and think this is the WR1 group for the rest of the season. When diving into that top-tier wide receiver, there are three names I want to touch on briefly. The first is Malik Nabers. Currently the WR1 overall, Nabers has the volume and the skill set to continue to dominate in fantasy football. Sure, I do not expect a 50% target share the rest of the way, but he should land somewhere in the upper 20% to low 30% range for the Giants. We are looking at the next iteration of Ja’Marr Chase. Next up is Marvin Harrison Jr. It has not been quite as easy of a transition for Harrison, but the talent is evident. He lands as the WR12 in full PPR leagues right now and should continue to find the endzone in 2024. As the offense adapts and he is used in more versatile ways, the ceiling is way higher than what we have seen so far for the former Buckeye. Rookie wide receivers continue to be valued in redraft leagues, and next year, we should see more of the same. Lastly is DK Metcalf. Metcalf is the WR7 on the season, and he has done it through target volume and scoring opportunities. Usually, touchdowns would be something I wouldn’t try to project on, but Metcalf is the most targeted red zone wide receiver in the league. He was due for some regression in the touchdown department after two down seasons, and that looks to be coming to fruition in the Grubbs offensive system.

The next tier of wide receivers is huge, and that’s part of why lineup decisions at the position can be so tricky. There are a few names of note in this tier that we should dive into. The first is Garrett Wilson. Wilson has not quite seen that value bump we were expecting with Aaron Rodgers. Add to that that in the next three to four weeks, he has some tough matchups, and Wilson’s value has started to take a hit. The trick here is navigating team needs with Wilson. If you have a 3-0 start, acquiring Wilson may be the right call because he has a plus schedule from Week 9 through the fantasy playoffs. The next guy on our list is Week 3 breakout Diontae Johnson. The Panthers came alive after Andy Dalton took over as quarterback. Johnson should be a locked and loaded WR2 with an upside the rest of the way. Dalton is a veteran who knows how to find the open receiver, and if there is one thing Diontae Johnson does well, it is separate and get open. There will be drops and injuries along the way, but while he is on the field, he should be an excellent value for fantasy managers, and Week 4 is no exception.

Finally, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle find themselves in the following tier. The Dolphins pass catchers are in trouble. Both players are stuck as WR2s with rock-bottom floors and are sell-low candidates, as they will only continue to see their stock plummet. Not only did they lose Tua Tagovailoa, but now Skylar Thompson looks unlikely to suit up for at least Week 4. Both Hill and Waddle have receiving yard highs of less than 50 yards when catching passes from non-Tua quarterbacks for the Dolphins. The volume will be down, and the quality of targets will also be significantly worse. I am selling both players.
