TE Rankings
- George Kittle returned last week to a 92% snap share and a 14% target share, and he finished as the TE2 in Week 9. Not bad for his first game back since Week 4.
- Don’t freak out about Dalton Schultz even though he’s had two lackluster weeks in a row. The first week was with Cooper Rush at quarterback, and last week was a game where the Cowboys barely held the ball at all in a freak blowout loss to the Broncos. And even last week in a down week he managed 4 catches for 54 yards. Schultz is a high-floor TE1 for the foreseeable future.
- Pat Freiermuth now has 4 top 12 tight end weeks on the season, including three straight, and is coming off consecutive top-three finishes at the position. It’s a bit based on his touchdown scoring, so there’s a chance for regression, but he’s seen 6 or 7 targets in each of the past three games, and as the Steelers’ receiving options dwindle due to injury, Freiermuth should remain a major part of this offense. He’s a starting tight end, and I’d be surprised to see that end anytime soon.
