The List: Ranking Each Position for Week 10

Erik Smith releases his PPR fantasy football rankings for Week 10.

WR Rankings

  • I love Terry McLaurin‘s talent, but it is getting tough to rank him too high due to his inconsistency. On the plus side, McLauren has finished as a top-five wide receiver three different times this season. On the downside, he’s finished WR44 or lower in the other five contests. It’s not due to a lack of volume, as McLaurin has a 28% targets share and has seven or more targets in every week other than Week 1. But until we see his quarterback situation improve, consistency is going to be tough to come by. The game script should be great against a heavy favorite like the Buccaneers, and the volume will certainly be there against a team that has allowed some damage to wide receivers this year. It just comes down to how accurate his looks will be, and whether Taylor Heinicke will be able to push the ball downfield at all. McLaurin may be a player worth shopping to your fellow managers at the trade deadline.

  • I’m at the point with Mike Williams where I would rather sit him on my bench until I see a good game out of him first. I don’t exactly know what’s wrong here, have defenses adjusted? Is he banged up? Was he just running hot to start the year? Williams ripped off two 20+ point weeks and two 30+ point weeks in the first five weeks, but if you flip it around he has now failed to reach double-digit PPR points in four of his past five games. With just 5 targets in each of the past three weeks, his volume has fallen off a cliff. We can keep hoping that he turns his season around, but the evidence is beginning to mount that he’s an inconsistent fantasy asset, and strong rosters would be wise to stash him on their bench.

  • I want to buy into the Elijah Moore breakout, but with Corey Davis likely to return this pass-catching corps is suddenly crowded. Moore, Davis, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole, and Michael Carter will all be vying for targets, so while Moore does have talent and big upside, we just don’t really know how low his floor will be going forward. There are certainly worse dart throws at WR3 or flex, but it’s hard to feel safe about his production until we see how the snaps and targets are distributed.
