QB Rankings
- Trevor Lawrence was the QB9 last week and has six or more rushing attempts in each of the last three weeks as the Jaguars have at least started to figure out their rushing attack. I’m not giving up on his talent, he’s thrown just one interception over the past two games, and he faces a Dolphins defense that has given up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, intercepting just two passes thus far. There are worse streaming options this week, though his bye week next week means he would be back on waivers after a one-week start.
- Taylor Heinicke is a nice streaming option in a game where he will likely be playing from behind, and Heinicke has three QB1-caliber weeks under his belt through four starts already. I’m willing to throw out the dud from last week against a tough Saints defense, and if you find yourself in a pickle at the position, you could do a lot worse. You may even be able to play him the following week against Green Bay in a similarly pass-heavy game script.
- It’s hard to not be out on Ryan Tannehill at this point, as he scored just 19 and 14 fantasy points over the past two weeks against the Jets and Jaguars. I know the receiving corps has been decimated, but I was hoping for at least a rushing touchdown or a hot red zone stretch, and we got neither. Buffalo just stifled the Cheifs offense last week, don’t try your luck with Tannehill.
