We’re on to V3 of my 2026 rankings, and it’s been quite the roller coaster for some players. Things will certainly change as the offseason progresses, but this is the first set that I feel are a true framework of what things will look like come August. Rookies are on their respective teams, most of the free agents have signed, and we’re getting the patented coachspeak of personell changes and backfield commitees. We’re so very close to “best shape of his life” territory.
I’ve said it a few times now, but it’s important to emphasize. These periodic offseason rankings are a “snapshot” into the NFL-verse at this very moment in time. So how do these help you? Well, players who landed in what appears to be the wrong spot will be downgraded, and some undeservedly hyped up when they land in the right one (here’s looking at you, CEH). It’s incredibly valuable to be able to look back at how they were viewed pre-draft, which can help avoid some landmines and identify the fallers who are really late-round gems.
