What We Saw Roundup – Week 5

We watched every NFL Week 5 game so you don't have to — Here's What We Saw!

Bye weeks and injuries have ravaged our rosters and we’re truly in the thick of the fantasy football season now.

It’s of utmost importance to make educated lineup decisions, whether it be streaming pickups, roster cuts or sit/start decisions. There’s no better time to make sure to take in What We Saw on a weekly basis, making sure you get first-hand accounts of what every fantasy-relevant player did (and didn’t do) over the weekend. There were some awesome performances this week as guys like Parker Washington III and Christian Watson led their teams to victory with huge performances through the air, but the best performance came in one of the most lopsided victories of the week by our featured athlete: Drake Maye.

October Showers bring Maye Flowers

Maye posted an outstanding – and most importantly mistake-free – stat line with 374 passing yards and four touchdowns as the Patriots belted the visiting Las Vegas Raiders, 45-17. Maye dismantled a defense that had been by and large one of the better units over the first four weeks, handing the Raiders their first loss of the season while the Patriots improved to 3-2 with back-to-back wins over previously unbeaten teams. Whether his shoulder is no longer bothering him or it just took a little while to settle into the season, Maye looks like a completely different player than what we saw in the season opener against the Seahawks. He was one of quite a few impressive performances on Sunday.
