What We Saw 2023: Week 7

The What We Saw team recaps everything you missed from Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season

Week 7 kept us on our toes. Expectations for a great game between the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens were quickly shattered when the Ravens jumped out to a 28-0 lead halfway through the second quarter thanks to an absolute clinic hosted by Lamar Jackson, who completed 21 of 27 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns while adding 36 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

We expected a gross, low-scoring affair between the Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns, but those two teams who shocked everyone by posting a combined 77 points and 840 yards of offense. The New England Patriots upset the Buffalo Bills, and the Chicago Bears earned their second win of the season thanks to three touchdowns from running back D’Onta Foreman and competent quarterback play from rookie Tyson Bagent. Journeyman Tyrod Taylor managed a much-maligned New York Giants to their second victory of the season, as well.

In the nightcap, the Philadelphia Eagles soundly defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-17 as A.J. Brown posted his fifth-straight game with 125 or more receiving yards. Let’s not forget to give a proper nod to Dallas Goedert, the last of countless tight ends to score a touchdown on National Tight End Day.

Awesome commentary, on both teams and deep inside the offense of both teams. I am not a fantasy football guy, but this kind of analysis is excellent for anyone who wants to learn about the teams followed.
