Green Bay Packers
Quarterback
Jordan Love: START, QB1 (Borderline QB1 if Watson inactive)
Jordan Love had been on a bit of a heater coming into Week 15, throwing seven touchdowns and just one interception over his last two games, including three scores against Chicago the week prior. However, Denver was unsurprisingly able to stop the hot streak, holding Love to 276 passing yards and one touchdown despite 40 attempts, picking him off twice. The finally full-strength receiving corps could be without both Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks, who both got banged up against the Broncos and had yet to practice at the time of writing. Neither injury is considered long-term, but the Packers play on Saturday, and the shorter turnaround could be a problem for their hopes of suiting up. Love would be an auto-start in all formats if we knew Watson would be active, but it’s looking less likely by the day. With Watson, fire up Love everywhere. If he’s not, Love falls to a borderline QB1.
Running Back
Josh Jacobs: START, RB1
Emanuel Wilson: SIT
Chris Brooks: SIT
Josh Jacobs is a locked-in weekly starter, but did you know that he played Santa Claus for his offensive line in a massive way this past Christmas? In December 2024, to thank his blockers for a successful debut season in Green Bay, he gifted every lineman—including practice squad members—custom diamond pendants shaped like their jersey numbers, reportedly spending over $100,000 on the “icy” holiday surprise.
Wide Receiver
Christian Watson: START, WR2 *unlikely to play
Romeo Doubs: FLEX, WR4 (If Watson inactive)
Jayden Reed: FLEX, WR4 | WR3(If Watson inactive)
Dontayvion Wicks: SIT | FLEX (If Watson inactive)
Matthew Golden: SIT | FLEX (If Watson inactive)
As I mentioned in the Jordan Love blurb, both Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks suffered injuries against the Broncos that don’t appear to be long-term. But it threatens both of their availability for Saturday’s game against the Bears. If Watson is active, you’re starting him in a top-six fantasy matchup against the Bears. Jayden Reed would be the biggest beneficiary if Watson were to miss, but Matthew Golden saw three targets after his departure. Reed is the only Packers receiver I’m starting with or without Watson in the lineup, but if he does miss, I’m willing to scratch that Chicago matchup lottery ticket on Golden or Wicks (if he’s active himself).
Tight End
Luke Musgrave: SIT
Luke Mus-sit, amirite?

Defense/Special Teams
Green Bay Packers: SIT
The Packers DST was already better in real life than fantasy and lost LB Micah Parsons to a torn ACL.
Chicago Bears
Quarterback
Caleb Williams: SIT
Live look at Caleb Williams and Jordan Love heading into Week 16:

Chicago could be trotting out a skeleton crew of receivers themselves, with Rome Odunze a late inactive and Luther Burden leaving Week 15 with an injury. But even at full strength, I have a hard time trusting Williams, whose 53.5% completion rate ranks dead last over the past three weeks. He’s a borderline Superflex start at best against a challenging Green Bay defense, even sans Micah Parsons.
Running Back
D’Andre Swift: START, RB2
Kyle Monangai: FLEX, RB3
D’Andre Swift’s fantasy managers can breathe a little easier after Week 15. Rookie Kyle Monangai outcarried the veteran in back-to-back weeks heading into their tilt with the Browns, but Swift carried the load and scored both touchdowns out of the backfield for the Bears. The Packers present a problematic matchup for the duo, allowing the eighth fewest points to the position and just one 100-yard rusher on the year. Swift can be viewed as a solid RB2, while the rookie is more of a FLEX option.
Wide Receiver
Rome Odunze: START, WR3 *yet to practice
DJ Moore: START, WR3 | SIT (If Odunze or Burden active)
Luther Burden III: START, WR3 *yet to practice
Rome Odunze was initially active in Week 15, but aggravated the stress fracture in his foot during warmups and was declared inactive about five minutes before kickoff. Luther Burden’s breakout performance was cut short after he exited Week 15 with an ankle injury. Neither were practicing at the time of writing, and both look unlikely to play against Green Bay. DJ Moore had a 20-point performance from nowhere, scoring two touchdowns. He’s been feast or famine as of late, but the chances of a bountiful harvest are much higher if he’s the last man standing in this receiving room. If both Odunze and Burden miss, Moore can be seen as a volume-dependent WR3, but nothing more. Olamide Zaccheaus has had sporadic involvement throughout the year and can’t be trusted, even if both receivers are out.
Tight End
Colston Loveland: START, TE1
Cole Kmet: SIT
Colston Loveland has seen steady usage in the second half of the season, averaging about 5 targets per game since his Week 9 breakout against the Bengals. The rookie has surpassed Cole Kmet as the top pass-catching option at tight end for Chicago and has topped 10 points in four of his last seven games. It’s a difficult matchup against Green Bay, which gives up the 10th fewest points to the position. But Loveland is in line for an increased target share with the Bears receiver banged up, and is a borderline TE1 whose ceiling and floor get a boost if one or both WRs are out.
Defense/Special Teams
Chicago Bears: SIT
The Bears’ defense has the seventh fewest takeaways and is too inconsistent to trust against Green Bay.
