Location: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ

Atlanta Falcons

Quarterback

Kirk Cousins: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)

Kirko Chainz lives!

Kirk Cousins made it rain touchdowns and Kohl’s cash on “Thursday Night Football” against the Bucs, throwing for 373 yards and his first three-touchdown game of the season. Arizona is a middle-of-the-road matchup from a points per game perspective, but they’ve practically handed out passing touchdowns over the past five weeks, allowing a combined 15 since Week 11. You could do worse as your QB2 in Superflex.

Running Back

Bijan Robinson: START, RB1
Tyler Allgeier: SIT

Bijan Robinson is a locked-in weekly starter, but did you know that he spent Christmas Eve 2024 engaging in a high-stakes battle off the field? The Falcons’ star running back faced off against backfield mate Tyler Allgeier in an intense gingerbread house building contest hosted by the team, proving that his precision and vision extend beyond the gridiron to edible architecture.

Wide Receiver

Drake London: START, WR1 *watch practice reports*
David Sills V: SIT
Darnell Mooney: SIT

Drake London might return in Week 16 after practicing on a limited basis Wednesday, but his status is still uncertain. If he plays, he should be started across the board as a WR1 no matter the matchup. No other Atlanta wide receiver is worth considering for fantasy, with or without London.

Tight End

Kyle Pitts Sr: START, TE1

The main beneficiary of London falling and missing multiple games has been Kyle Pitts Sr. The fourth-year pro ranks 10th among all players in receptions with 73, and has 30 over the last three weeks, sitting one reception behind Trey McBride for most receptions by any player over that period. Pitts is a must-start, whether or not London returns. But in a top-10 matchup against Arizona, if London’s out again, Pitts is a top three tight end for Week 16.

Defense/Special Teams

Atlanta Falcons: SIT

Atlanta’s allowed 92 points in their last three games.

Arizona Cardinals

Quarterback

Jacoby Brissett: START, QB1

More reliable than your significant other needing something the second you sit down, Jacoby Brissett threw multiple touchdowns once again, but this time it was against Houston, the most formidable matchup for opposing quarterbacks. Brissett became the first QB to throw for three touchdowns against the Texans this season. He’s basically the top waiver pickup this season. He’s an autostart in Superflex and startable every week in 1QB leagues.

Running Back

Bam Knight
Michael Carter: START, RB2
Emari Demercado: SIT

And then there were two …

With the season-ending injury to Bam Knight and Trey Benson never being activated from IR, only Michael Carter and Emari Demercado remain. Carter handled 14 carries and was targeted four times with Knight leaving Week 15 early, and is fully expected to handle nearly all the backfield touches against Atlanta. The Falcons have kept most backs in check, not allowing any 100-yard rushers since getting smashed for 244 yards by Jonathan Taylor in Week 10. Carter’s a volume-based back-end RB2 that has a decent floor but limited upside.

Wide Receiver

Marvin Harrison Jr.: START, WR2 *limited practice at time of writing*
Michael Wilson: START, WR1 | WR2 (if Harrison active)

Michael Wilson had a “disappointing” 11 targets, but caught five for 54 yards and a touchdown. He’s an autostart when Marvin Harrison Jr. is out, and likely still is if Marv returns in Week 16. Harrison returned to a limited practice as of Wednesday, but his status is uncertain at the time of writing. Atlanta allows the eight most points to the position, making Wilson a borderline WR1 if MHJ misses again. If he’s able to return, consider both solid WR2s.

Tight End

Trey McBride: START, TE1

Trey McBride went b-a-n-a-n-a-s against the Texans as he chases history, catching 12 of 13 targets for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He’s locked into your lineup and likely the first tight end off the board in 2026.

Defense/Special Teams

Arizona Cardinals: SIT

Arizona is one of three teams allowing 35 or more points per game over their last three.
