Los Angeles Rams
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford: START, QB1
For the life of me, I cannot remember and do not understand why teams even bother blitzing Matthew Stafford.
Matthew Stafford completed 14 of 19 passes for 202 yards and 2 TDs against the blitz, his most yards against the blitz in a game this season.
Stafford now has 27 passing TDs against the blitz, the most of any QB in a single season since at least 2018.#DETvsLAR | #RamsHouse pic.twitter.com/zSm1DLcdRE

Per NextGen Stats, Stafford completed 14 passes against the blitz versus Detroit, his most this season. He’s thrown 27 touchdowns against the blitz this season, the most for a QB in a season since 2018. That shouldn’t be a factor against Seattle, which has the eighth-lowest blitz rate yet still ranks second-highest in pressure rate at 36.5% (per FTN Data). That difference could keep the Seahawks from racking up sacks, as Stafford is sacked on just 8% of drop-backs when facing pressure without the blitz. Even in a difficult matchup against Seattle, which allows the seventh fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, you’re starting Stafford in nearly all formats. However, I’m not opposed to starting someone with a much better matchup, like Jared Goff vs. Pittsburgh or Jacoby Brissett vs. Atlanta, in 1QB leagues.
Running Back
Kyren Williams: START, RB1
Blake Corum: FLEX, RB3
Kyren Williams is still the lead back, but for the second time this season, Blake Corum is closing the game over a multi-game period. Since Week 13, Williams has handled 48% to 35% for Corum, a notable difference from their season-long rates of 56% for Williams and 30% for Corum. Williams’ stranglehold on the majority of work and touches inside the five (56% to 33%) offsets his lack of explosiveness and helps him maintain his weekly RB1 status. But Corum’s second spell of increased touches, blended with his efficiency and explosiveness, places him firmly on the FLEX radar. I mean, look at this move.

Seattle gives up the sixth fewest points to the position, so I wouldn’t force Corum into your lineup, but he’s certainly startable.
Wide Receiver
Puka Nacua: START, WR1
Davante Adams
Tutu Atwell: SIT
Davante Adams technically hasn’t been ruled out for Thursday Night Football at the time of writing, but after reaggravating his hamstring injury in Week 15, there’s a better chance that Sean McVay‘s newborn son suits up for the Rams than Adams this week. Adams is reportedly week-to-week, but I would expect him to miss the rest of the fantasy football season. If he’s miraculously able to play this week or next, I’d likely still start him, but you run the risk of a mid-game reaggrivation and an early exit. I’m not concerned about Puka Nacua in the least without Adams. He’s one of the best receivers in the league, and any extra attention he sees from defenses will be offset by the extra looks he should see. In a good matchup, I may consider starting another Rams receiver, but not against Seattle, a bottom-five fantasy matchup for receivers.
Tight End
Colby Parkinson: START, TE1
I’ve been anti-Rams tight end for most of the season, but even I can no longer deny Colby Parkinson‘s production. Parkinson caught two touchdowns against Detroit, bringing his total to six in his last six games. Over his last four games, Parkinson is averaging over five targets per game, ranking fifth in yards per route run for tight ends and first with a whopping 10 red zone targets (per Fantasy Points Data). Better yet, the beach birds (Nobody calls them that. Let’s make it a thing) are the sixth-best fantasy matchup for the position, making Parkinson an easy start and a Week 16 TE1.
Defense/Special Teams
Los Angeles Rams: START
The Rams DST is pretty close to a weekly start regardless of matchup, but Sam Darnold has thrown for fewer than 250 yards in three of his last four games, and failed to throw a touchdown in two of them.
Seattle Seahawks
Quarterback
Sam Darnold: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
The last time these teams played, Sam Darnold threw four picks and as many touchdowns as you and I have all season. The Rams have been harsh on opposing quarterbacks for most of the season, but have softened a bit recently, allowing eight combined passing touchdowns to Bryce Young, Jacoby Brissett, and Jared Goff since Week 13. I’m avoiding Darnold in 1QB leagues, but he’s an easy start in Superflex.
Running Back
Kenneth Walker III: SIT
Zach Charbonnet: SIT
I wish it were different because I truly believe in the talent of Kenneth Walker III. Among running backs with at least 50 rush attempts, Walker ranks top five in both explosive run rate (7.3) and missed tackles forced (44). Yet the Seahawks are dead set on splitting the workload between Walker and the less efficient, less explosive, and, in my opinion, less talented Zach Charbonnet. I’m fading both backs in Week 16 against the Rams, who give up the fewest points to the position.
Wide Receiver
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: START, WR1
Rashid Shaheed: FLEX, WR4
Cooper Kupp: SIT
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a set-it-and-forget-it stud, but did you know that he spent this past holiday season spreading cheer at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA? In December 2024, he visited the hospital’s burn unit to support patients and simultaneously partnered with Feeding Feasible Feasts to host a massive community food drive at a Safeway in Renton, WA. It seems Rashid Shaheed is finally being incorporated into the Seahawks’ offense. Shaheed had three receptions in his first three games in Seattle, but that total has swelled to 10 over his last three. His yards per route run has virtually quadrupled, from .5 to 2.11 yprr. The Rams present a favorable matchup, and with his recent surge in productivity, Shaheed is a solid FLEX for your fantasy semis.
Tight End
AJ Barner: SIT
AJ Barner has fewer than 10 points in four straight games and is nowhere near consideration for fantasy.
Defense/Special Teams
Seattle Seahawks: START
Regardless of the matchup, the Seattle DST is a set-and-forget option.
