Week 10 brings some big-name tight ends on bye, including Travis Kelce and Jake Ferguson, and we also just lost Tucker Kraft for the season with an ACL tear. That means we’re looking for some reliable fill-ins — and Dalton Schultz stands out this week. Schultz gets a Jaguars defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. If you watched what Brock Bowers did to them last week, you can only hope Schultz gives you even a third of that production. Jacksonville has allowed a tight-end touchdown in four of the last six games, and Schultz has posted at least 60 yards in three of his last four. He’s one of the best bye-week replacement tight ends for Week 10. –Steve Pintado
With Kraft out, former 2nd-round pick Luke Musgrave gets the starting role back. The matchup, however, is rough — he draws the Eagles, who allow the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Philadelphia has allowed just one TE to top 45 yards and only one TE touchdown all year. Musgrave should be on the field more, but don’t expect the same workload Kraft saw — we could see more funneling toward the receivers in Week 10. –Steve Pintado
A start/sit note: I prefer Theo Johnson over T.J. Hockenson this week. Johnson has quietly become a big part of Jaxson Dart’s passing attack, putting up double-digit fantasy points in four of his last six games. He faces a Bears defense in a game that could turn into a shootout, so volume should be there. On the flip side, Hockenson has struggled with J.J. McCarthy under center, seeing just 10 total targets across McCarthy’s three starts. Baltimore is strong against tight ends, and Hockenson simply isn’t a top priority in this offense right now. He’s still a name, but volume + matchup puts him at major risk. –Steve Pintado
