- Week 1 as a whole saw some very ugly and slow-starting offenses, and the wide receivers and tight ends both took the brunt of that slow start. Some names that blew up in Week 1 that I am not as bullish on for Week 2 are Allen Lazard, Xavier Worthy, and Alec Pierce. Some names that blew up in Week 1 that I do like the rest of the season: Jameson Williams, Rashee Rice, Brian Thomas Jr.
- When it comes to the top two tiers of wide receivers for Week 2, a few names stand out. The first is Cooper Kupp. Kupp is now without Puka Nacua fighting for targets and is officially in the top 3-8 WR range every week until Puka returns. The next is Rashee Rice. Rice put any slow start concerns to rest, and while he is on the field, he is a high-end WR2 or low-end WR1 as the top target earner for the Kansas City Chiefs. My favorites of the WR13-24 range are Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, DK Metcalf, and Ladd McConkey. Important note for anyone who invested in MHJ: one week is not damning; he should be set up for a bounce-back week this week. Start him.
- In the orange tier of wide receivers, there are plenty of names that have boom potential. If you need a win this week after a slow start, I would not mind rolling one of these players out in the FLEX, especially compared to a middling running back. Some of my favorite names in this group are Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Adonai Mitchell.
- In the final dart throw tier, some of my favorite names to hit in Week 2 are Keon Coleman, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Jalen McMillan.
