It’s time for Week 2 of The List! Each week, you can expect positional rankings and top 150 FLEX rankings to help you win your fantasy football leagues!
Week 2 of the NFL season is already here, and it is giving us some critical injury storylines to monitor for both this week and beyond. The things that YOU need to know are that Christian McCaffrey is questionable after his surprise absence from Week 1, Joe Burrow’s wrist is still bothering him, Puka Nacua is officially going on IR, and DeVon Achane may be limited this week for Thursday Night Football.
Some quick thoughts on what these storylines mean for you if you roster any of the players impacted are below:
- If CMC does, in fact, miss another week (Achilles), Jordan Mason is a locked and loaded RB2 with the upside for more.
- Joe Burrow’s wrist is a definite concern. If you are a Burrow manager, start evaluating waiver options or potential trades. I don’t mind targeting Kyler Murray and Caleb Williams as underperformers from Week 1.
- Cooper Kupp is once again a target hog and an elite fantasy football wide receiver in the WR3-WR8 range as long as he is healthy.
- Finally, if Achane is going to be limited at all, or Raheem Mostert for that matter, Jaylen Wright should get to be active for the first time and could deliver a solid FLEX performance.
Beyond injuries, some of my favorite storylines from Week 1 are that we got to see the return of JK Dobbins, but this time in powder blue, and he did not disappoint. Dobbins is in my top-10 running backs this week, and as long as he is healthy, he should toe the line between low-end RB1 and high-end RB2. He was the only true league-winning option on waivers this week, although Isaiah Likely is close. Speaking of Likely, there are questions about his role with a fully healthy Mark Andrews, but either way, he is here to stay and is my TE4 for Week 2. The other major performance we need to discuss before you dive into The List this week is Marvin Harrison Jr., who saw only a 9% target share and was completely ignored on a wide-open, would-be game-winning touchdown. The Cardinals won’t keep ignoring their top-5 draft pick. He runs too clean of routes for Kyler to not get on the same page. I am firing him up with confidence this week, and you should be, too!
Bonus Note: Adonai Mitchell was probably dropped in some of your leagues. Go pick him up. He had a 26% target share in Week 1 and was missed for a pair of easy touchdowns by Anthony Richardson. Scoop him up and let him sit on your bench for a week. Alec Pierce is not going to keep him off the field, and he saw worse usage even though he stole the headlines for the Colts.
