Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes: Sit
Another week, another Sit for Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has struggled to find himself in the QB1 range this year. The strong defense and old-school approach have allowed Mahomes to be more of a break-in-case-of-emergency option for the Chiefs. He is a fringe QB1 at best right now and comes in as my QB14 on the week. He will need to eclipse 18 fantasy points for me to be excited about starting him, and that is a mark he has only eclipsed twice all season.
Running Back
Kareem Hunt: Start, RB1
Kareem Hunt is in a smash matchup, and it may be one of his last before Isiah Pacheco returns from the IR. He has been the workhorse for the Chiefs, averaging over 20 opportunities per game. The 29-year-old faces a Bills defense allowing the second most points to opposing running backs. The juice has been worth the squeeze for those who added Hunt off of waivers, and he should reward those managers for at least one more week.
Wide Receiver
DeAndre Hopkins: FLEX Option, WR3
Xavier Worthy: Sit
DeAndre Hopkins came crashing back to earth in his second game with the Chiefs, scoring under 10 fantasy points on just four receptions. The unfortunate reality is that he faces another tough matchup in Week 11. He has some FLEX appeal, as the volume should be there, but Travis Kelce is the only Chiefs pass catcher I am overly interested in starting this week. Xavier Worthy is off the redraft fantasy radar for now. The volume for the offense is not there, and while one play is all he needs, it makes him a volatile option I would hesitate to rely on in any must-win matchups.
Tight End
Travis Kelce: Start, TE1
Travis Kelce has come alive in the last six weeks, recording five TE5 weeks or better. He has demanded targets and shown fantasy managers the former TE1 overall glory we have all grown accustomed to. He is averaging 10 targets per game across the last three weeks and has posted 250 yards and two scores. The addition of Hopkins has created even more space for Kelce, and you can expect him to do more of the same, even against a strong Bills defense.
Buffalo Bills
Quarterback
Josh Allen: Start, QB1
No need to spend much time here. Josh Allen is no worse than the QB2 overall on average in his career, and he is a no-brainer start as long as he is healthy.
Running Back
James Cook: Start, RB2
Ray Davis: FLEX Option, RB3
James Cook has a tough matchup in Week 11. Still, he has been a touchdown-scoring machine compared to previous seasons. He has scored nine touchdowns this season, which equals his career total. He has averaged 16.5 PPG this season, and even with Ray Davis starting to emerge as a solid backfield mate, he should lead this backfield without much question. Davis is a desperation FLEX play this week in a tough matchup. He has shown flashes that prove he is here to stay and could eventually eat even further into Cook’s workload. The problem is that for now, he is capped at around a 20% snap share and around 3 to 5 touches per game.
Wide Receiver
Khalil Shakir: FLEX Option, WR3
Amari Cooper: FLEX Option, WR3
The injury to Dalton Kincaid may further improve the target volume for the Bills’ wide receivers in Week 11. It is a situation to monitor, along with the potential return of Amari Cooper. If Cooper does end up being able to suit up this week, he should reclaim the WR1 role for the team, which may give him the edge slightly over Khalil Shakir even if Shakir leads the team in targets. Shakir is the most senior of the Bills pass catchers, and he is consistently a low-end WR2. Being tied to Josh Allen definitely doesn’t hurt either. Right now, Shakir is falling to my WR27, but if Cooper does miss time, he should jump into the low 20s with the added caveat that Curtis Samuel should get some deep FLEX viability.
Tight End
Dalton Kincaid: Start, TE1
Dawson Knox: Streamer Option
Right now, it is still uncertain what we should expect from Dalton Kincaid after he was injured in last week’s game and was unable to stay on the field. If Kincaid can play this week, he is low-end TE1, but he occupies a tier that drops as low as TE15 on their week. If Kincaid can’t get back on the field, you can expect Dawson Knox to have some streamer viability landing between TE11-TE15. The important thing fantasy managers need to take into account here, especially if they roster Kincaid, is if the knee injury does force him to miss time, it may be more than one week, and Dawson Knox would be worth an add.
