Indianapolis Colts
Quarterback
Anthony Richardson: Sit
Snip snap, snip snap, snip snap! It’s back to the Anthony Richardson show in Indianapolis, much to the dismay of the owners of Colts pass-catchers. Joe Flacco has been disastrous these past couple of weeks, but as we’ve seen this season, Richardson lowers the upside for the Indianapolis passing game. He’s flashed his hyper-athletic upside on a couple occasions this year, but his risky raw ability has also reared its ugly head in a few extremely unproductive games. He’s best left on your benches this week.
Running Back
Jonathan Taylor: Start, RB1
Yup, you’re starting Jonathan Taylor this week. He’s facing a dejected Jets defense that last week allowed the Cardinals to put up 147 rushing yards. Taylor is among the safest volume-based options in the league, but if there’s a gripe to be had, it’s that we’d like to see him catch more passes and get back in the end zone this week. If he does, he should be a top-5 RB with ease.
Wide Receiver
Josh Downs: FLEX Option, WR3
Adonai Mitchell: Sit
Alec Pierce: Sit
Before the Colts made the QB change (again), we were feeling pretty excited about Josh Downs‘ role in the offense and Adonai Mitchell‘s emergence as an option in this offense. Mitchell is fresh off his most productive game as a rookie, while Downs has consistently shown to be the top option in this passing attack. With Richardson back at the helm, however, we have to unfortunately temper expectations for all of these receivers. Downs is the best option this week, but he drops down to a FLEX option instead of a WR2. Mitchell and Pierce are both sits for now, but the latter has shown some boom/bust ability with this quarterback. Quite frankly, all Colts pass-catchers should be left on your benches if you can help it this week, but Downs might still be able to come through if he continues to dominate the target share.
Tight End
Sit All
There isn’t a Colts TE worth starting in fantasy, especially with Richardson throwing the ball.
New York Jets
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers: Sit
Oof. Aaron Rodgers had arguably one of the worst games of his career last week against the Cardinals, producing only 4 fantasy points despite having just one turnover (a lost fumble). Rodgers looked completely out of sync with his entire offense. This experiment has not gone well for the Jets, and it won’t go well for your fantasy teams should you choose to start him, either.
Running Back
Breece Hall: Start, RB1
Braelon Allen: Sit
We’re still waiting for the big Breece Hall game to come this season. Perhaps Week 11’s matchup against the Colts is the perfect chance for such a game, as Indy has looked extremely vulnerable against the run at points this season. Breece needs more involvement in the passing game to truly unlock his elite upside, but his athleticism and share of the offense make him a low-end RB1 this week with a chance to exceed expectations.
Wide Receiver
Garrett Wilson: Start, WR1
Davante Adams: Start, WR2
There are only two Jets receivers worth rostering, and you’re starting both Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams this week against the Colts. We’ll give the slight edge to Wilson this week, as he’s looked phenomenal as of late while making some of the best catches of the past decade. His target share has dwindled some with the addition of Adams, but he’s still been efficient with his looks aside from last week’s game when the entire offense looked atrocious. Adams has also made some uncharacteristic drops and mistakes during his time in New York. Maybe some of that is still getting acclimated with the offense, but I’d feel slightly more confident starting the younger emerging star. Both are still worth starting in your lineups this week.
Tight End
Tyler Conklin: Sit
Tyler Conklin is a touchdown-dependent streamer and nothing else. Even so, there should be better options in that “TD-or-bust” tier that you can play this week.
