Sit/Start 2024 Week 7: Reviewing All Fantasy Relevant Players in Every Game

Sit or Start recommendations for EVERY fantasy-relevant player in Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season!

Game Info

Kickoff: Sunday, October 20th, 2024, 4:05 ET

Location: Northwest Stadium, Landover, Maryland

Network: CBS

Carolina Panthers

Quarterback

Andy Dalton: Sit, QB2

It’s been a good run for the Red Rifle as the fill-in QB for Carolina. Admittedly, Andy Dalton has lifted most of the Panthers’ offense to heights that Bryce Young was unable to reach in his time under center. Still, even in a matchup against a porous Commanders secondary, there are plenty of other options to consider at QB this week. He’s in the streaming territory for Superflex leagues, but I wouldn’t touch him in 1QB leagues.

Running Back

Chuba Hubbard: Start, RB1
Miles Sanders: Sit

What a revelation Chuba Hubbard has been for the Panthers in 2024. With Jonathon Brooks still on the mend recovering from an ACL tear, Hubbard has emerged as one of the NFL’s most efficient RBs behind a completely revamped offensive line in Charlotte. Hubbard should once again shoulder the lion’s share of carries in a matchup with a projected total score of 50.5. Start Hubbard with confidence as a back-end RB1 this week, but leave the rest of the Panthers’ healthy RBs on waivers.

Wide Receiver

Diontae Johnson: Start, WR1
Xavier Legette: FLEX Option, WR4

Diontae Johnson rounds out our WR1 ranks as our WR12 on the week. In the four weeks since Dalton took over as QB, Johnson has finished as a top-12 WR three times, with the lone dud coming against the Bears’ elite secondary on the road. Johnson saw double-digit targets in each of those WR1 finishes and there’s no reason to believe things will be any different in what projects to be a shootout in Landover. He’s nursing an ankle injury that’s been bugging him for some time, so make sure he’s active before Sunday’s kickoffs. Xavier Legette has finished as a top-3o receiver in two of the past three weeks, and this week is another good chance to return FLEX value, but there is also a low floor present with the rookie receiver.

Tight End

Sit All

No Panthers TEs are worth starting in fantasy right now.

Washington Commanders

Quarterback

Jayden Daniels: Start, QB1

Jayden Daniels is one of the most prolific QBs in terms of scoring playing one of the weakest defenses in Week 7. He’s a no-doubt start, and an overall QB1 finish is certainly in the cards this week. He comes in as our top-ranked player at the position.

Running Back

Brian Robinson Jr.: Start, RB2
Austin Ekeler: FLEX Option, RB3
Jeremy McNichols: Sit

Brian Robinson Jr. returned to practice on Wednesday, which is a great sign for his Week 7 availability. He’s been a rock-solid RB2 as long as he’s been healthy, and that trend should continue against the league’s most generous defense to opposing RBs. Austin Ekeler has a very solid floor as Washington’s de facto pass-catching RB, which allows him to slot in as a decent FLEX option in Week 7. Jeremy McNichols did not display any value in Robinson’s absence last week and should return to waivers from whence he came.

Wide Receiver

Terry McLaurin: Start, WR1
Noah Brown: Sit

Terry McLaurin is the only Commanders receiver worth starting on a weekly basis, but he’s a very strong play most weeks. A date with the Panthers’ “defense” in Week 7 is no exception. Coming off of his best performance of the season, McLaurin has another great chance to deliver WR1 value as he continues to develop chemistry with his rookie QB. He’s our WR7 on the week.

Tight End

Zach Ertz: Streaming Option

Hey look, it’s Zach Ertz. He’s a streamer. You can tell he’s a streamer because of the way he is. Ertz is yet to score this season, but a matchup with the Panthers is as good a chance as any.
