Philadelphia Eagles

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts: Start, QB1

Jalen Hurts returned to QB1 form last week against the Browns thanks to his two star receivers returning from their injuries. His dual-threat capabilities were on full display as he threw for over 260 yards and 2 touchdowns, with an additional 33 yards on the ground. With his weapons around him, he’s a locked and loaded starter week in and week out, and now faces a division rival. It’s not only expected but likely that he will put up another multi-touchdown week, perhaps coming from a combination of his arm and his legs.

Running Back

Saquon Barkley: Start, RB1
Kenneth Gainwell: Sit

Saquon will always be a set & forget for as long as he’s healthy, but this week is particularly special: his homecoming in New York. It would be safe to assume he will be fed early and often to rub it in on his former team. The Giants have a middle-of-the-pack rushing defense, and Saquon was averaging nearly 6 yards per carry until last week. Last week’s inefficiency was not a red flag, you can start this top-tier back with confidence. With the workload Saquon has and should continue to see, Kenneth Gainwell should be left on the bench.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown: Start, WR1
DeVonta Smith: Start, WR2

Upon their return to action last week, both receivers hauled in touchdowns of over 20 yards. A.J. Brown is another roster lock due to his ability to bring in contested balls that’s second to none. Having AJ to cover opens the field up for DeVonta Smith, who has hit at least 14.9 PPR fantasy points in every game he’s played this season. Saquon might see a heavy workload, but this offense is missing Dallas Goedert from their pass game and this isn’t a particularly difficult matchup. There was a lot of backlash from this offense’s inability to run up the score last week, so this duo is a safe play even if the Eagles get out to an early lead.

Tight End

Grant Calcaterra: Sit

After Dallas Goedert pulled a hamstring last week, Grant Calcaterra saw his highest snap share of the season. He did bring in all 4 of his targets, but there’s not much meat left on the bone behind the primary skill position players.

New York Giants

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: Sit, QB2

Admittedly, Daniel Jones is playing better than most would give him credit for. Yet, even with Mailk Nabers providing him with reliable hands to feed, starting him should only be considered in 2QB/Superflex formats. The Giants may have to lean on his arm, but fantasy managers simply cannot trust putting him into the lineup if they have the choice.

Running Back

Tyrone Tracy: Start, RB2
Devin Singletary: Sit

Devin Singletary missed the last two weeks with a groin injury and has been a limited participant in practices this week. In his stead, Tyrone Tracy was given back-to-back games with over 20 touches and turned those opportunities into over 100 all-purpose yards in each of those two games. If Singletary plays, his touches will likely be limited and Tracy should continue to be involved. Tracy’s ability as a pass-catcher should keep him involved throughout the game, even if the Giants end up playing from behind.

Wide Receiver

Malik Nabers: Start, WR1
Wan’Dale Robinson: FLEX Option, WR3
Darius Slayton: Sit

Malik Nabers has been in concussion protocol since Week 4 but returned to practice in a limited fashion this week. Even though he’s benefited from Nabers’ absence, Wan’Dale Robinson was a midweek addition to the injury report with an ankle injury. Both of their statuses should be monitored, as this will likely be a pass-heavy game script for New York. If both are good to go, Nabers should walk back into a massive target share and is a definite starter. Robinson would still be a Flex-level option, especially in PPR and deeper leagues.

Tight End

Theo Johnson: Sit

The former Nittany Lion is not a viable fantasy asset as he’s seen no more than 5 targets in any game despite averaging 81% of snaps. Jones has shown a propensity to feed his receivers, and this offense is nowhere near efficient enough for Theo Johnson to be trusted for your lineup.
