Baltimore Ravens
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson: START, QB1
Tyler Huntley: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex if Jackson inactive)
Lamar Jackson left the game agaisnt New England after taking a knee to the back while being tackled on a rush attempt. Jackson was unable to return due to what’s been called a “serious back contusion” and his status uncertain at the time of writing. If he plays, start him confidently. Jackson was 7 for 10 with 101 passing yards before leaving the game and seemed to be getting more involved in the run. If he’s unable to go, Tyler Huntley is a good enough thrower with a little wiggle to be considered a back end QB2 in Superflex.
Running Back
Derrick Henry: START, RB1
Rasheen Ali: SIT
Keaton Mitchell: SIT
You can make that back-to-back games over the century mark for King Henry, and he tossed in two tuddys, too. King Henry is averaging over eight yards per carry in his last two games and is an RB1 no matter who’s under center for the Ravens, even in a less-than-ideal matchup. The Packers allow the sixth fewest points to the position and have only allowed one back to rush for over 100 yards, Rico Dowdle way back in Week 9.
Wide Receiver
Zay Flowers: START, WR2
Rashod Bateman: SIT
DeAndre Hopkins: SIT
After going 13 weeks between touchdowns, Zay Flowers scored in back-to-back weeks by rushing one in against the Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Flowers has flourished in recent weeks, scoring 15+ points in three straight and over 20 in two of three. He’s an upside WR2 if Jackson can suit up, and a startable but volatile WR3 if it’s Huntley under center. No other Ravens receiver is in consideration for fantasy.
Tight End
Mark Andrews: SIT
Isaiah Likely: SIT
Isaiah Likely has back-to-back goose eggs, and Mark Andrews has 10.1 total points in his last three games combined. In a bottom-10 matchup against Green Bay, starting either is the equivalent of asking for coal for Christmas.
Defense/Special Teams
Baltimore Ravens: STREAMER
If Jordan Love sits, the Ravens instantly become a viable streaming option against whoever’s under center. If Love and Malik Willis sit, they become a top 10 option.
Green Bay Packers
Quarterback
Jordan Love: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1 *watch practice reports*
Malik Willis: SIT
Mystery Box QB3: SIT
Exited Saturday’s game against the Bears with a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet hit; his status for the upcoming week is uncertain.
A helmet-to-helmet forced Jordan Love to leave the Packers’ divisional matchup in Chicago after just 10 pass attempts with a concussion. He was replaced by Malik Willis, who would go 9/11 for 121 and throw one touchdown pass, chipping in 44 rushing yards but losing one fumble. Willis came out of the game with a shoulder injury of his own, and Love was still in concussion protocol at the time of writing. If both are unable to go, who knows who’s starting for the Packers in Week 17 because they don’t currently have a third QB on the roster. If Love goes, he’s fine to start as a borderline QB1. If it’s Willis or a player to be named later, don’t.
Running Back
Josh Jacobs: START, RB1
Emanuel Wilson: SIT | START, RB2 (If Jacobs inactive)
Chris Brooks
Josh Jacobs‘ fantasy managers celebrated his active status for the fantasy semifinals before the start of the game. Afterward, not so much. Jacobs finished with 4.8 fantasy points and was seemingly pulled from the game after a third-quarter fumble, playing just two snaps after the turnover. It was unclear at the time if it was due to the fumble or a reactivation of his injury, but according to head coach Matt Lafluer, it was because backup Emanuel Wilson was running so well. Wilson did have nearly six yards per carry, but I find it hard to believe Lafluer would keep a stud like Jacobs on the sideline simply because Wilson was running the ball efficiently. Keep an eye on practice reports this week, but Jacobs is still locked in as a high-end RB1 if he suits up against the Ravens. Jacobs’ status could also depend on whether the Lions lose to Minnesota on Christmas Day. The Packers need one more win or one Lions loss to make the playoffs, so if the Lions win, they probably do everything in their power to get Jacobs on the field to punch their ticket to the postseason. If Jacobs can’t go, Wilson is a decent back-end RB2 against the Ravens, who have given up three touchdowns to running backs in their previous two games.
Wide Receiver
Christian Watson: START, WR2 | SIT (If Love inactive)
Romeo Doubs: FLEX, WR4 | SIT (If Love inactive)
Jayden Reed: FLEX, WR4 | SIT (If Love inactive)
Matthew Golden: FLEX, WR5 | SIT (If Love inactive)
After all the hubbub about whether Christian Watson would play, it was Romeo Doubs who led the way for Green Bay. Doubs caught five of six targets for 84 yards and a touchdown, just his third game with over 10 fantasy points since Week 8 and his second-highest point total this season. Watson saw a solid six targets but caught just two for 17 yards. If Love starts next week, Watson is still a boom/bust WR2. Doubs would be a low ceiling FLEX (despite the nearly 20-point game), with Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden both boom/bust FLEX options. If it’s Malik Willis or a player to be named later, don’t.
Tight End
Luke Musgrave: SIT
No Packers tight end has scored double-digit fantasy points since Tucker Kraft tore his ACL.
Defense/Special Teams
Green Bay Packers: STREAMER
If Lamar Jackson is unable to play, the Packers would become a desperation streaming option against Tyler Huntley.
