Quarterback
Caleb Williams: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1
No, Rome Odunze. No Luther Burden III. So naturally, Caleb Williams has one of his best games of the season, well, for fantasy at least. But don’t be fooled by the epic comeback win and fanciful stat line. Williams had only nine completions through the first three quarters and didn’t throw a touchdown until a mere 28 seconds were left in regulation. I’m not trying to discount the potentially career-shifting win, but from a performance standpoint, Williams left a lot to be desired. He completed 56% of his pass attempts and needed overtime to extend his multi-touchdown streak to three games. He’s a must-start in Superflex against San Francisco but a borderline start in 1QB leagues.
Running Back
D’Andre Swift: START, RB2
Kyle Monangai: START, RB2
D’Andre Swift still leads the backfield, but just Bear-ly.

Since Week 13, Swift has handled 45% of the team’s carries to Kyle Monangai‘s 41% and they’re even Steven at eight targets apiece. The matchup against San Fran is middling, but with 50-plus points expected and both players in a solidified role in the offense, consider the duo as back-end RB2s with upside.
Wide Receiver
Rome Odunze: START, WR2 *watch practice reports*
DJ Moore: FLEX, WR4 | START, WR2 (if Odunze or Burden inactive) | WR3 (if Odunze and Burden inactive)
Luther Burden III: START, WR3 *watch practice reports*
The man who stepped up and came down with the beautiful walk-off touchdown throw from Williams was none other than DJ Moore.

Moore finished with five catches on seven targets, with the game-ending 46-yard touchdown catch accounting for nearly half of his 97 receiving yards. So much of Moore’s value depends on the status of Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III, neither of whom was practicing at the time of writing. With back-to-back 20-point games, Moore is at worst a worthy flex, and if both miss a borderline WR2.
Tight End
Colston Loveland: START, TE1
It was indeed a letdown for Colston Loveland to not produce more than three catches for 30 yards with the opportunity in front of him with Odunze and Burden out. But don’t let that keep you from starting him against the 49ers, who sit just outside top 10 in points allowed to the position. If the Bears are at full strength, Loveland’s more of a borderline option. But if even just one wide receiver is out, Loveland becomes a must-start.
Defense/Special Teams
Chicago Bears: START
Chicago leads the league in takeaways and is holding opponents under 16 points per game in their last three.
San Francisco 49ers
Quarterback
Brock Purdy: START, QB1
If you needed a miracle heading into “Monday Night Football” with Brock Purdy in your starting lineup, chances are he delivered. Purdy threw five touchdowns against the Colts and finished with exactly 295 passing yards for the second week in a row. There’s a chance San Fran could be without George Kittle this week, but with or without him, Purdy is a must-start in a top-10 fantasy matchup for quarterbacks against Chicago.
Running Back
Christian McCaffrey: START, RB1
Brian Robinson Jr: SIT
Jordan James: SIT
Christian McCaffrey is a permanent fixture in your starting lineup, but did you know that his hands aren’t just good for catching passes — they’re concert-ready? He is an accomplished musician who plays the piano and harmonica, and he once went viral in college for a flawless harmonica cover of Billy Joel‘s “Piano Man,” proving his rhythm and timing are just as elite off the field as they are on it.
Wide Receiver
Jauan Jennings: START, WR2
Ricky Pearsall: START, WR3 *watch practice reports*
Demarcus Robinson: SIT
Jauan Jennings has scored eight touchdowns in his his last seven games, but somehow hasn’t score 19 points in a single one of them. He’s an easy start as a WR2 against the Bears and could be in line for some extra targets with George Kittle and Ricky Persall banged up. But Jennings’ range of outcomes is a lot wider than you may realize. To be so touchdown-reliant to get in the midteens is a recipe for disaster if things were to fall someone else’s way. CMC hog all the touchdowns? Purdy throws them to running backs and tight ends? It’s a doomsday scenario, but a realistic one nonetheless.
Tight End
George Kittle: START, TE1
Jake Tonges: STREAMER *if Kittle inactive*
George Kittle left “Monday Night Football” early after suffering an ankle injury that would turn out to be a mid- to low sprain. It’s not expected to keep him out long term, but his status for Sunday is uncertain at the time of writing. If he’s active, you’re obviously starting him, but if Kittle misses, Jake Tonges is streamable as one of the last pass catchers standing in a game with an implied game total over 50.
Defense/Special Teams
San Francisco 49ers: SIT
44-year-old Philip Rivers threw two for touchdowns and nearly 300 yards against this defense.
