Game Info

Kickoff: Sunday, September 13, 2026, 1:00 PM ET

Location: Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA

Network: FOX

Atlanta Falcons

Quarterback

Michael Penix Jr.: OUT
Tua Tagovailoa: SIT

Michael Penix Jr isn’t quite ready to return, so it’ll be Tua Tagovaioa under center for the Falcons. Um…

Running Back

Bijan Robinson: START, RB1
Brian Robinson: SIT

Be VERY CAREFUL putting a Falcons running back in your starting lineup.

Wide Receiver

Drake London: START, WR2
Jahan Dotson: SIT
Olamide Zaccheaus: SIT

You have to start Drake London, but man, I’m concerned about how low his floor is while Tua is under center. Pair that with an implied game total in the low 40s, and you’ll likely need a score to be happy with London’s production in Week 1, my fair lady.

Tight End

Kyle Pitts Sr.: START, TE1

The only pass catcher on the Falcons I’m truly comfortable starting, Kyle Pitts Sr faces a Steelers defense that allowed 11 touchdowns and 13.5 points per game to the position, both top five matchup-wise.

Defense/Special Teams

Atlanta Falcons: SIT

Not a terrible matchup, not a terrible defense, but you can do better in Week 1.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers: SIT

Mac Jones had more games with multiple passing touchdowns than Aaron Rodgers in 2025.

Running Back

Jaylen Warren: START, RB2
Rico Dowdle: START, RB2

Both Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle are borderline RB2s despite the sneaky tough matchup against a Falcons defense that allowed just 13 touchdowns to the position.

Wide Receiver

DK Metcalf: FLEX, WR4
Michael Pittman Jr: FLEX, WR4
Roman Wilson: SIT

Atlanta is a fantastic matchup for receivers, but the combination of the Ancient A-A-ron and target competition from each other in a low passing volume offense, I’m only willing to start DK Metcalf and/or Michael Pittman Jr at FLEX. Nothing more.

Tight End

Pat Freiermuth: SIT
Darnell Washington: SIT

The Falcons allowed the third-fewest points to the tight end position in 2025. The Steelers also have approximately 28 tight ends.

Defense/Special Teams

Pittsburgh Steelers: START
