The List: Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 1

PPR fantasy football positional rankings, including top 150 FLEX players, for Week 1.

Welcome to Week 1 of The List! Each week, you can expect this top 150 FLEX rankings to help you figure out all your lineup decisions, from which players you should start at each position, to how you should fill out your flex spots. These rankings will be always focused solely on the week ahead.

In the first week of the fantasy football season, my main piece of advice for you is: don’t overthink it. You’ve spent the last month preparing for your drafts, painstakingly watching pre-season football, following training camp news, and that has all led you to this moment right here. Or, you listened to one podcast, read one draft guide article, and did your research ten minutes before your draft started. Either way, you’ve got your roster set, and I’m here to tell you that in Week 1, start your studs. Set your lineups to the best of your ability, but no matter what you do, be sure to take plenty of time this weekend to sit back, relax, and enjoy watching real NFL action again. We’ve got games on four different days this weekend, savor it all that you can.

There is one major piece of news that I’m keeping my eye on this week, and that is Ja’Marr Chase‘s contract status. If he does truly end up missing Week 1, it does impact all Bengals players. First, I will say that I’m holding out hope that Chase can still play this week even if he only practices once before Sunday. He’s been with the team and has been working out all pre-season, so I don’t think he needs a major ramp-up period. I wouldn’t start a subpar wide receiver in either the Thursday or Friday night game in his place, unless we get concrete news that he will miss Week 1. If Chase sits, then I still think Joe Burrow is a startable quarterback, but he drops to the bottom of my top 12. And lastly, while Chase missing time wouldn’t make me want to start either of these wide receivers in Week 1, I will be keeping a close eye on Bengals’ wide receivers Andrei Iosivas and Jermaine Burton, especially Iosivas. They could make great stashes in the event that Chase ends up sitting out for an extended period of time.

With all that said, let’s dive in to my rankings for Week 1!
