The List: Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 1

PPR fantasy football positional rankings, including top 150 FLEX players, for Week 1.

In week one, the decisions at quarterback are pretty simple, especially in one-quarterback leagues. There are plenty of good options, whether due to matchups or elite talent, but the rushing quarterbacks provide some significant upside, along with the always-elevated floor.

  • When looking at the top 12 options this week, one player concerns me: Joe Burrow. He is currently my QB8 on the week as he returns from injury and another weird offseason program. Burrow also has looming questions about his top pass catcher, Ja’Marr Chase, who is still not practicing due to contract concerns. If Chase does, in fact, sit out, Burrow will drop slightly to the bottom of this tier (QB12).
  • For those of you who punted on the quarterback, the next tier is full of players who have some strong potential to start the season but fall short of the QB1 range. Jayden Daniels (QB13) is the player from this tier that a lot of managers locked into in drafts, and while I do think season-long he will be just fine, in his first-ever NFL action, he may need to see increased rushing production to hit that QB1 range and I don’t know if we see that quite yet. Trevor Lawrence (QB15) has the highest week-one ceiling of this group if he can cut down on his turnovers. It is a game that he may need to throw a lot to keep up with the high-flying Miami Dolphins.
