You realize how much you love the game when tasked to rank and write up 300 players and/or defenses from a fantasy perspective. But it is finished! The updated version of my top 300 rankings as of Friday, August 28th, 2025–right before your final home league drafts. These rankings were created considering a 12-team PPR league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and a FLEX. …and, sure, a defense and kicker as well. You’ll notice a few significant changes from the first iteration of my rankings, and that’s by design. As quickly as things change in the NFL, rankings are more of an ever-changing, living, breathing document rather than something set in stone. As with any set of fantasy rankings, don’t consider these constraints as to which players you should draft and in what order. I consider multiple factors when doing my rankings, not just my projected finish for each player, but their range of outcomes, risk factor, potential red flags, their risk vs reward profile, and so much more. Click the links at the top or bottom of each page to switch between my full top 300, positional rankings, and more bite-sized chunks of the full set of rankings. Please feel free to ask questions, whether via Twitter/X @GMenJay or better yet, join our Discord and discuss all things fantasy with our plethora of fantastic analysts and passionate QB List community.
As we inch closer to the season each second, most of the cloudy situations clear up enough to assume what roles will look like at the start of the season. My top 300 still looks at the big picture, not just what Week 1 looks like. So even though Spencer Rattler won the quarterback competition to start the season, I like Tyler Shough more over the full season. Same goes for Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Any players moved in the ranks will be in gorgeous QB List green if they moved up, and sinister red if they moved down. Players italicized were not on my initial rankings. Updates explaining my thought process are under each player who significantly changed.
Note: Technically, the players around those I’ve moved in the ranks have moved as well, but for the sake of not having this article look like a Christmas explosion, I’m only highlighting those who have moved significantly.
Now, let’s get to our Top 300 to help you rock those final drafts in the last week before the season finally begins!
