Green Bay Packers

Quarterback

Jordan Love: Start, QB1

Jordan Love is in a great spot this week. He’s at the top of several efficiency stats over the last four weeks and is averaging 10.3 yards per attempt since Week 11 (top of the league). Additionally, his defense has a lot of injuries, which means the Seahawks offense should force the Packers to keep dropping Love back late into this game. If that works out, then Love could be one line for another multiple-passing TD game and potentially even approach 300 yards passing.

It’s been a while, but Love is in a spot to break out in Week 15.

Running Back

Josh Jacobs: Start, RB1

Seattle has stiffened up a bit as a rush defense, but they still allow plenty of yards to opposing RBs. The Packers don’t abandon the run game when they get behind (as they proved again last week), and Josh Jacobs only ceded two carries to his backups against Detroit (and is coming in off a long week of rest).

It’s a great spot, and he’s easily one of the top-tier RB starts this week again in fantasy.

Wide Receiver

Christian Watson: Start, WR2
Jayden Reed: FLEX Option, WR3
Romeo Doubs: Sit

Christian Watson has become more of the focal point of this offense of late. He’s posted a double-digit target share% in six straight games, and his 33% target share from Week 14 was a season-high. It’s a tough matchup as the Seahawks have athletic, tall corners, but Watson should be in your starting lineup this week.

Jayden Reed has been disappointing for fantasy after a fast start, but the versatile slot receiver has the ability to go for an 80+ and a TD on small targeting every week he’s on the field. The matchup with Seattle may be more favorable for him as well, with Watson likely dealing with Riq Wollen. Reed isn’t a must-start, but don’t be shocked if he comes up with a big fantasy day out of nowhere.

Romeo Doubs would be a low-end flex option at best if he plays. He’s not someone I’d necessarily feel great starting after being away from practice for so long and seeing Watson rise into a more prominent role.

Tight End

Tucker Kraft: Start, TE1

Tucker Kraft has emerged as a serious part of this Packers offense of late. The Seahawks do allow their fair share of chunk plays over the middle (10th most receiving yards to opposing TEs), and Kraft has posted target shares of 23% and 28% over his last two games.

He’s a must-start unless you’re holding one of the big names in the game like Bowers or Travis Kelce this week.

Seattle Seahawks

Quarterback

Geno Smith: Sit, QB2

Geno Smith is a lock for 220+ passing yards almost every game, but his passing TD rate is lacking. The Seahawks QB has only thrown for multiple TDs once in his last seven games and doesn’t bring a ton of rushing upside to make up for that lack of production.

The Packers’ defense and secondary are extremely banged up, so maybe this is where he and DK Metcalf break out, but I’d feel OK about sitting him this week if I had another QB who had shown more consistent upside of late.

Running Back

Kenneth Walker: Start, RB2 (if healthy)
Zach Charbonnet: Start, RB1 (if Walker sits)

The Seahawks RB unit is a pretty easy one to break down. As good as Zach Charbonnet played last week, he isn’t getting that kind of workload if Kenneth Walker is healthy. And if the two end up in some kind of split, which is the best-case scenario, then it will likely be Walker who gets the goal-line carries as he’s done all season.

If Walker does play, then the decision will be whether to play him or not. He’s too explosive a player and gets a ton of respect from the coaching staff, who have been loyal to him all season to fade completely, but with Charbonnet’s big week, he’s not likely to get his usual 70-80% of the snaps and carries.

It’s also a calf injury Walker is dealing with, which can hamper explosiveness for RBs. Even if I owned Walker, I wouldn’t want to rely on him this week, but you can’t fade him unless you’re sitting with a really deep RB rotation.

Charbonnet owners are praying that the Seahawks rest their starter for one more game.

Wide Receiver

DK Metcalf: Start, WR2
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Start, WR1
Tyler Lockett: Sit

The Packers may get Jaire Alexander back for this game, which would downgrade the matchup for DK Metcalf. If Alexander does play, I still wouldn’t hesitate to play Metcalf in season-long leagues, as the Packers corner is coming off a serious knee injury and may not play 100% of the snaps.

The better matchup, though, is for Jaxon-Smith Njigba, who I expect could go nuts in this spot. The Packers are dealing with injuries at safety and corner and will likely have to move players around again, leaving them thin, especially at Nickel corner. Keisean Nixon will likely have to play out of position again and projects to have slot duties, leaving him against JSN for much of the game.

While Smith-Njigba’s targeting has come down the last two weeks, this game should be much more competitive than the Seahawks’ last two outings, making this a great time for him to potentially hit his ceiling in targets again and post another monster performance.

Tight End

Noah Fant: Sit

The Packers are dealing with multiple injuries at corner and safety, which gives Noah Fant some upside if you are in a real pinch. Still, he only gets targeted on very low aDOT routes and is fourth at best in the pecking order for targets. You can likely do better this week.
