Game Info

Kickoff: Sunday, September 7th, 2025, 1:00 ET

Location: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA

Network: CBS

Arizona Cardinals

Quarterback

Kyler Murray: START, QB1

Fantasy points could be tough to come by for anybody when the Cardinals head to New Orleans to open the season versus the Saints in what’s projected to be one of the lowest-scoring games of the week. You’re starting Kyler Murray most weeks, just as long as it’s not double XP weekend on Call of Duty.

Running Back

James Conner: START, RB2
Trey Benson: FLEX, RB3

Despite the low point total, a great matchup and potentially perfect game script make both James Conner and Trey Benson startable in Week 1. Benson figures to eat into Conner’s workload more and more as the season goes along, but Conner should lead the way to start against a weak Saints run defense.

Wide Receiver

Marvin Harrison Jr: START, Borderline WR1
Zay Jones: SIT
Michael Wilson: SIT

The only Cardinals receiver on the fantasy radar to start the 2025 season is Marvin Harrison Jr. He’s a borderline WR1 even in an expected low-scoring game thanks to a delectable duo of volume and playmaking ability.

Tight End

Trey McBride: START, TE1

I don’t have to tell you to start Trey McBride. But did you know he has a twin brother named Dylan?

New Orleans Saints

Quarterback

Spencer Rattler: SIT

Running Back

Alvin Kamara: START, RB2
Kendre Miller: SIT
Devin Neal: SIT

There’s concern for a drop in production considering his age and the offense around him, but Alvin Kamara should see enough volume to remain an RB2 with upside as long as he’s on the field. He’s my RB15 this week; meanwhile, Kendre Miller and Devin Neal are nothing more than low-end handcuffs.

Wide Receiver

Chris Olave: START, WR3
Rashid Shaheed: FLEX, WR4
Brandin Cooks: SIT

Until (more like if) Spencer Rattler or Tyler Shough can eventually provide consistent quarterback play, both Chris Olave and Rashid Shaeed‘s range of outcomes will remain extremely volatile. They’re talented enough to maintain a relatively high ceiling, with Olave offering the safer floor. Brandin Cooks is a great guy, but not on the fantasy radar.

Tight End

Juwan Johnson: SIT

You’re not starting any Saints tight end.
