Baltimore Ravens
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson: START, QB1
You don’t need me to tell you to start Lamar Jackson. But did you know he co-authored a children’s book titled “I Dream You Dream We Dream“?
Running Back
Derrick Henry: START, RB1
Justice Hill: SIT
Keaton Mitchell: SIT
You don’t need me to tell you to start Derrick Henry. But did you know He wears number 22 as a tribute to his late friend and teammate Altee Tenpenny?
Wide Receiver
Zay Flowers: START, WR2
Rashod Bateman: FLEX, WR4
DeAndre Hopkins: SIT
With the highest projected game total of Week 1, there should be plenty of fantasy points to go around on Sunday Night. Zay Flowers’ breakout is a point of contention for many, but I’m a believer. Flowers has a great matchup and slots in as a WR2 with upside for Week 1. Rashod Bateman is who he is, a highly volatile boom/bust FLEX. Unfortunately, DeAndre Hopkins won’t have the target volume to be startable most weeks at this point in his career.
Tight End
Mark Andrews: START, TE1
With Isaiah Likley unlikely (sorry) to play Week 1, Mark Andrews is a relatively safe start at tight end with upside to catch a few tuddys.
Buffalo Bills
Quarterback
Josh Allen: START, QB1
You don’t need me to tell you to start Josh Allen. But did you know Allen grew up on his family’s farm in California and is a fourth-generation farmer?
Running Back
James Cook: START, RB1
Ray Davis: SIT
Ty Johnson: SIT
A tough matchup for James Cook is partially offset by the likely high-scoring affair, and Cook’s ability to chef up a big play. He remains an RB1 in Week 1, while the others are easy sits.
Wide Receiver
Keon Coleman: START, WR3
Khalil Shakir: START, WR3
Joshua Palmer: FLEX, WR4
The shootout potential in this game makes the trio of Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Joshua Palmer all startable in Week 1. Coleman and Palmer offer the most upside given their big-play ability, but Shakir’s command of the middle of the field for the Bills gives him a nice floor. The Ravens allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2024.
Tight End
Dalton Kincaid: SIT
Middling floor, low upside – sing it with me, kids: Ba da ba ba ba, McDouble.
