Sit or Start recommendations for EVERY fantasy-relevant player in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season!

Game Info

Kickoff: Sunday, October 26, 2025, 4:25 p.m. ET

Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN

Network: CBS

Tennessee Titans

Quarterback

Cam Ward: SIT

When throwing a touchdown pass in consecutive games is seen as an improvement, you’re not going to be considered a start for fantasy.

Running Back

Tony Pollard: FLEX, RB4
Tyjae Spears: FLEX, RB4

Volume was, in reality, the only thing keeping Tony Pollard‘s pedestrian fantasy value afloat. Since the return of Tyjae Spears has essentially split the workload between the two, both are borderline flex plays at best. Against a tough Indy run defense, bench both if you’re able.

Wide Receiver

Calvin Ridley
Elic Ayomanor: FLEX, WR4

Chimere Dike: FLEX, WR4

With Calvin Ridley yet to practice and almost a certainty to miss Week 8, Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike are flex plays based on nothing other than the Colts allowing the second-most points to the position.

Tight End

Gunnar Helm: SIT
Chig Okonkwo: SIT

Neither Titans tight end is worth starting in fantasy.

Defense/Special Teams

Tennessee Titans: SIT

No.

Indianapolis Colts

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: START, QB1

Although the yardage totals haven’t been that impressive, Daniel Jones has two or more touchdowns in three straight games with just one turnover over that period. The Titans are a tall task, allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points to the position. But … sigh … with six teams on bye, Jones is a must-start in Week 8.

Running Back

Jonathan Taylor: START, RB1
Ameer Abdullah: SIT
DJ Giddens: SIT

You don’t need me to tell you to start Jonathan Taylor, but did you know he grew up a Houston Texans fan? His favorite player was Arian Foster, whose running style he tried to emulate.

Wide Receiver

Michael Pittman Jr.: START, WR2
Alec Pierce: FLEX, WR4
Josh Downs: FLEX, WR4

Although Michael Pittman Jr. is considered the WR1 on the Colts, he’s the No. 2 pass-catching option for Daniel Jones after stud rookie tight end Tyler Warren. Averaging over six targets per game and already five touchdowns on the season, Pittman is a solid WR2. He’s tied with Warren for the team lead in targets inside the 10 (four). Alec Pierce and Josh Downs are the Yin and Yang of flex plays for Indy. Both are averaging about five tarets per game, with Pierce the upside play and Downs the safer bet to come down with a couple of catches.

Tight End

Tyler Warren: START, TE1

You don’t need me to tell you to start Tyler Warren, but did you know he grew up a Washington fan? His dad was a huge fan, and Warren wore No. 44 in college as a tribute to his dad’s favorite player, John Riggins.

Defense/Special Teams

Indianapolis Colts: START

The Titans are averaging 13.7 points per game this season.
