Los Angeles Chargers

Quarterback

Justin Herbert (Start, QB1)

Coming off a career-best game, rookie Justin Herbert is in store for another potential blow-up spot against the Bills. Herbert, the should be shoo-in OROY, torched the Jets for 366 yards and three touchdowns. The Bills defense has given up the 11th most fantasy points to his position on the season, and Week 10 gave up 245 yards and three touchdowns (two rush and one passing) to Arizona’s Kyler Murray.

Running Backs

Kalen Ballage (Start, RB2), Troymaine Pope (Sit)

Austin Ekeler has taken to social media in recent weeks, showing off his rehab efforts. He looks ready to roll – from iPhone footage – but there’s no indication the Chargers are ready to bring him back to action. His status will surely be worth monitoring heading into the weekend. Assuming he’s out again, Kalen Ballage is the Charger back you can continue to start, as he’s posted double-digit PPR fantasy points in each of the last three games. Troymaine Pope and Joshua Kelley are off the fantasy radar.

Wide Receivers/Tight End

Keenan Allen (Start, WR1), Mike Williams (Start, FLEX), Hunter Henry (Start, TE1)

Keenan Allen is coming off his best game of the season where he blew up the Jets secondary to the tune of 16 receptions, 145 yards, and a touchdown. I don’t think a repeat of 19 targets is sustainable against Buffalo, but he’s due for another productive game against their exploitable secondary. Mike Williams has notoriously been a fantasy high risk-high reward start, but with Herbert under center (and no longer Philip Rivers), he’s turned the page and has posted consistent numbers in recent weeks (sans Week 10). You could certainly do worse than Williams as your FLEX this week.

Hunter Henry has found the end zone in back-to-back weeks, and a consistent target share as well; averaging 6.6 targets in the last three games. He gets a plus matchup against a Bills defense that has given up the third-most fantasy points to tight ends on the year.

Buffalo Bills

Quarterback

Josh Allen (Start, QB1)

Rested and coming off the BYE, Josh Allen is poised for another big performance. He had a three-touchdown (one of which was a reception score), two-interception game against the Cardinals Week 10, doing enough to win if it wasn’t for the ‘Hail Murray’, final whistle loss. The Chargers defense has given up the 10th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and they have allowed 17 passing touchdowns in their last seven games.

Running Backs

Devin Singletary (Sit), Zach Moss (Start, FLEX)

Even though the Chargers have given up the ninth-most fantasy points to the running back position this year, it’s hard to deploy both Devin Singletary and Zach Moss every week. Sure, they may score, but it’s no telling who finds the end zone and what production overall they may end up posting. Singletary has been disappointing in his second year, and Moss – albeit being hurt for three games earlier this season – has been the better back sans Week 10 against the Cardinals. If I had to start/roster any Buffalo RB, it’s Moss. If you want to hold hope, remind yourself that both Frank Gore and La’Mical Perine scored against LA last week.

Wide Receivers/Tight End

Stefon Diggs (Start, WR1), Cole Beasley (Start, WR3), John Brown (Sit), Dawson Knox (Sit), Tyler Kroft (Sit)

If you skated bye Week 11 without any Bills in your lineup, you’re more than ready to have Stefon Diggs back. He’s been well worth the trade value Buffalo gave up for him, and remains a high-end WR1 this week. The Chargers have given up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to his position to date, but are known to be exposed quite a bit over the top, which plays right into Diggs’ game; see last week against the Jets and Breshad Perriman’s score. At the time of writing, John Brown was not seen at practice on Tuesday. He tweaked his ankle against the Cardinals, and his status will be one to monitor the rest of the week. If he were to miss this one, Cole Beasley has shown he can step up in his absence and be a reliable option for Allen. He’s not afraid to pepper Beasley with targets; he had 13 against Arizona.

Tight end Dawson Knox and Tyler Kroft are touchdown dependent and really aren’t a focal point to a wide receiver heavy offense. I suppose it is worth mentioning though that LA has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to the TE this year, including a score to the ghost that is Chris Herndon just last week.
