We’ve now reached Week 12 of the NFL season, and it’s time for your teams to make a playoff push and begin your bid for a title! While this time of the year means Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season are just around the corner, it also means we have to plan around some of the most difficult bye weeks of the season. This, of course, complicates things in terms of setting your lineups and finding the optimal plays for your rosters. It also means that some of your sneakier FLEX options you’ve been stashing on your benches will have their time to shine while your studs rest up to return to action. The teams on bye in Week 12 are listed below for you:
- Buffalo Bills
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Atlanta Falcons
- New York Jets
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- New Orleans Saints
In Week 12, we have a larger sample size of data to consider as we craft our weekly rankings and make our Sit/Start recommendations for the week. We’ll continue to make observations, draw conclusions, and try not to overreact as we work to bring you the best possible fantasy advice to help you win your leagues. As always, you can check out my list of weekly rankings to complement these Sit/Start recommendations.
Some quick notes before you jump in:
- Remember, sits/Starts and Rankings are not set in stone. They are tools to guide you, not rules to follow blindly. Use them to shape your own decisions and make the best lineup adjustments for your team. Good Matchups are great, but getting too cute can cost you the week. Ask yourself this: “Am I going to feel more tortured by benching player X and him going off, or not playing player Y?”
- Have fun, talk trash, and win your matchups. If you don’t, there’s always next week.
Let’s Dive in.
If Sam Darnold is not a must sit then why is he labeled “Sit”?
Why not label him “QB2”?
We base our rankings on single-QB leagues since they’re the most common, so any QB outside of our top 12 would technically be labeled a “Sit.” We try to provide some insight in terms of if they’re a viable streamer or start in SF leagues as well, but that’s our general process for that position!
