Location: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California

Network: NBC

Philadelphia Eagles

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts: Start, QB1

Entering Week 12, make it five straight games with a rushing touchdown for Jalen Hurts. Since Week 7, he has nine scores on the ground, with six through the air. Last week against the Commanders, he threw for 221 scoreless yards, and his rushing score surely saved his fantasy day. Nonetheless, the Eagles haven’t lost since Week 4, and Sunday night’s game against the Rams should be another sweet spot for Hurts to find success, although it’s worth noting Los Angeles has not given up a rushing score to an opposing QB this season, per StatMuse.

Running Back

Saquon Barkley: Start, RB1

Have a night, Saquon Barkley. In the blink of an eye, Barkley scored twice in 20 seconds of game time to put the game away in the fourth quarter against Washington. In the win, he rushed for 146 yards and the two touchdowns on 26 carries, adding two receptions on three targets for 52 yards. FantasyData has him ranked as the RB2 on the season just behind Derrick Henry, and he’ll continue to be a force against a Rams defense that just allowed Rhamondre Stevenson and Drake Maye to rush for 100 collective yards last week.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown: Start, WR2
DeVonta Smith: Start, WR2

A.J. Brown led the Eagles receivers with eight targets against the Commanders, finishing with five receptions for 65 scoreless yards. Over the last five weeks, he’s averaged six targets per game, with at least four catches per in that span. What’s been most frustrating is that he hasn’t found the end zone since Week 7 against the Giants, but in primetime this week, perhaps that will change against a Rams defense that is allowing the 12th most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season. DeVonta Smith enters the week coming off a quiet Week 11, where he caught four of six targets for 29 yards, and it’s the second game in a row where he was held to under 30 yards. He has also still yet to reach 100 receiving yards in a game this season, but like Brown, could the tides turn a bit in his favor in a potential shootout with the Rams?

Tight End

Dallas Goedert: Start, TE1/2 Borderline

Dallas Goedert caught all five of his targets for 61 yards last week and has firmly eased his way back into the mix after missing four games with a hamstring injury. Look for him to be on the TE1/2 borderline against a Rams defense allowing the seventh most fantasy points to TE’s on the year; they just allowed Hunter Henry to catch six of nine targets for 63 yards.

Los Angeles Rams

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford: Streaming Option, QB2

Way to bounce back, Matthew Stafford. His Week 10 was a dud, but in the Week 11 win against New England, Stafford completed 18 of 27 attempts for 295 yards and four touchdowns. This made for his second four-TD game of the season (Week 8), and he’ll need to give his best go at repeating such success in a touch matchup upcoming at home against the Eagles. Philly is allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs this season, and they just held stud rookie Jayden Daniels to 191 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

Running Back

Kyren Williams: Start, RB1

It’s a touchdown drought for Kyren Williams. After scoring in every game through Week 8, he has been kept out of the end zone since then. Given the lack of scoring, his fantasy output has taken a bit of a dip, partly due to Stafford having his two top receivers back on the field. In Weeks 7-9, Williams had at least 21 carries in each game, but in Weeks 10-11, he had 15 in each.

All that said, Williams will remain an RB1 based on volume against an Eagles defense that won’t be all that easy to run against; they are allowing the sixth-fewest points to the opposition this year.

Wide Receiver

Puka Nacua: Start, WR1
Cooper Kupp: Start, WR2 with WR1 upside

It sure is good to have Puka Nacua back on the field. Last week, he caught seven of nine targets for 123 yards and a touchdown and is looking like his 2023 rookie self. Even with the tough matchup upcoming against Philly, he’s proven to be a WR1 in just a four-game (three if you factor in the early Week 9 ejection) sample size this season. Cooper Kupp is the same, as he is coming off a 6-106 and two-touchdown performance in New England.

Last week against the Commanders, five targeted Washington WRs were held to just four total catches in the game; surely, this will not be the case for Nacua or Kupp, at least. Still, it’s a tougher matchup than most weeks, so we’re tempering expectations here just slightly.

Tight End

Davis Allen: Sit

Colby Parkinson may have caught a touchdown last week, but he’s still been losing work to Davis Allen in recent weeks. In any case, neither TE has streaming appeal against Philadelphia.

  1. Garrett Walker says:

If Sam Darnold is not a must sit then why is he labeled “Sit”?

    Why not label him “QB2”?

    • We base our rankings on single-QB leagues since they’re the most common, so any QB outside of our top 12 would technically be labeled a “Sit.” We try to provide some insight in terms of if they’re a viable streamer or start in SF leagues as well, but that’s our general process for that position!
