Denver Broncos
Quarterback
Bo Nix: Start, QB1
One of the more pleasant surprises this season has been rookie Bo Nix. Nix has surpassed 200 passing yards in eight games this season and has proven to be a weapon with his legs as well. Last week he had something of a coming-out performance throwing for over 300 yards and four scores against the Atlanta Falcons. He may not need to throw much in Week 12 but the Raiders defense should be shredded against Sean Payton who has proven all season that when he can he will run up the score on any opposing defense.
Running Back
Javonte Williams: FLEX Option
Audric Estime: FLEX Option
The Broncos running backs are an absolute disaster for fantasy football. I get this question a lot right now: should I start Javonte Williams or Audric Estime?! My response for right now is: “No Thanks.” Sean Payton cannot be trusted when it comes to his running back usage. Both players can lead this backfield, but neither is likely to get uncontested access to the steering wheel. Last week, I recommended that many avoid Estime where they could until we saw exactly what Payton’s plan was for the rookie running back, and this is exactly why. Both players are low-ceiling options with rock-bottom floors. You may be forced to play them with so many teams on bye this week, but you should temper expectations with both landing in the low-end RB2 to RB3 range for me right now.
Wide Receiver
Courtland Sutton: Start, WR2
Courtland Sutton is not a sexy option, he is not a fun player to roster in fantasy football, but he is scoring points. He is currently a top 15 wide receiver in fantasy football. In his last four games he has been on an absolute tear posting 28 receptions and 370 yards. He may not be needed much in Week 12 but he should once again see 8-10 targets which means he should be in lineups wherever he is available.
Tight End
Sit All
You are ignoring ALL Broncos tight ends.
Las Vegas Raiders
Quarterback
Gardner Minshew: Sit
Gardner Minshew and most of the Raiders offense remains a sit.
Running Back
Sit All
Probably the worst rushing attack in the NFL, you are steering clear of this backfield. Dynasty folks should keep an eye on Dylan Laube even though he remains a long shot to see any meaningful production.
Wide Receiver
Jakobi Meyers: Flex Option, WR3
Jakobi Meyers may volume his way to fantasy value but will find it hard to find much room against the Broncos’ secondary that has stopped some of the league’s best pass catchers. Meyers is a desperation FLEX play as a low-end WR3 with a low floor and ceiling in this week in particular.
Tight End
Brock Bowers: Start, TE1
The lone bright spot for the Raiders is Brock Bowers. Bowers will once again be the focal point of the offense and see double-digit targets. Let’s not forget his last performance against Denver when he posted eight receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown.
If Sam Darnold is not a must sit then why is he labeled “Sit”?
Why not label him “QB2”?
We base our rankings on single-QB leagues since they’re the most common, so any QB outside of our top 12 would technically be labeled a “Sit.” We try to provide some insight in terms of if they’re a viable streamer or start in SF leagues as well, but that’s our general process for that position!
