Kickoff: Sunday, November 24th, 2024, 1:00 PM ET

Location: Northwest Stadium, Prince George’s County, Maryland

Network: FOX

Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback

Cooper Rush: Sit

Don’t let the 354 passing yards fool you. That’s a plausible line to reach when you throw the ball 55 times, but the Cooper Rush era may end sooner than later in Dallas if they decide to give Trey Lance any sort of look the rest of the season. Rush is not fantasy-relevant and can be left on the wire.

Running Back

Rico Dowdle: FLEX Option, RB3
Ezekiel Elliott: Sit

It’s been nasty hours for the Dallas backfield over the last two weeks (and arguably the majority of the season). Rico Dowdle, who felt poised for a big fantasy season back in the summer, enters Week 12 with just 402 yards on the ground and zero rushing scores. In the last two games, he has just 81 total yards off 22 carries. With plenty of top running backs on BYE this week, this may be a final chance to give Dowdle a chance in your FLEX. Ezekiel Elliott, on the other hand, holds no fantasy value and can be left on your wire.

Wide Receiver

CeeDee Lamb: Start, WR1
Jalen Tolbert: Sit
KaVonte Turpin: Sit

Last week, CeeDee Lamb had a better go at it with Rush under center, catching eight of 12 targets for 93 yards and adding one carry for 13 yards. Whether it was Dak Prescott or Rush at QB, Lamb has seen no less than 10 targets per game dating back to Week 8. The receiving yardage will vary week over week with Rush throwing Lamb the ball, but the targets will remain, and that will keep Lamb on the WR1 radar – with caution.

Jalen Tolbert and KaVonte Turpin (who found the end zone last week) don’t hold much fantasy relevancy week over week.

The Commanders are middle of the pack against opposing WRs this year, allowing the 19th most fantasy points to the position.

Tight End

Luke Schoonmaker: Desperate Stream, TE2

Jake Ferguson suffered a concussion early in the Week 11 loss to the Texans, and as of Tuesday, he’s trending towards not clearing protocol in time for this week against the Commanders. Enter Luke Schoonmaker, who filled in and caught 6 of 10 targets for 56 yards. He’s going to be a popular streaming candidate if you are desperate at the TE position, and it’s a viable option, as the Commanders just allowed Dallas Goedert to catch all 5 of his targets for 61 yards.

Washington Commanders

Quarterback

Jayden Daniels: Start, QB1

Jayden Daniels enters Week 12 coming off a down two games back to back, as he’s amassed 393 yards, an interception, and two touchdowns in that span; one through the air and one on the ground. Head Coach Dan Quinn insists he is not injured on the heels of his injury suffered back in Week 7, but his practice reports would suggest otherwise. Nonetheless, a date at home with the Cowboys, who are allowing the fifth most fantasy points to QBs on the season, could be the get-right spot back to the Daniels we’ve seen most of the season.

Running Back

Brian Robinson Jr.: Start, RB2
Austin Ekeler: Start, RB2

It’s good to see the Washington backfield finally have some stability after recent years of uncertainty week over week. Brian Robinson Jr. missed Weeks 9 and 10 with a hamstring injury but returned to action, finding the end zone against the Eagles, having rushed for 63 yards off 16 carries. Austin Ekeler only rushed for seven yards on two carries but caught eight of a whopping nine targets for 89 yards. It felt like the Ekeler of Chargers old. Look for both to hold RB2 value this week against Dallas, who is allowing the third most fantasy points to RBs on the year. Not to mention, Joe Mixon just torched the Cowboys for 109 yards and three touchdowns, adding two catches for 44 yards.

Wide Receiver

Terry McLaurin: Start, WR1
Noah Brown: Sit

Terry McLaurin is coming off his worst game of the season last week, as he caught one of only two targets for 10 scoreless yards. McLaurin has held his own most of the season in a wide receiver room, not offering much around him (sorry, Noah Brown), but has had low weeks of his own, making up for them with touchdowns despite some low yardage and reception weeks. Over 11 weeks, according to FantasyData, McLaurin is averaging 4.4 receptions and 65.5 yards per game, which makes for an average of 14 fantasy points per game in full-PPR formats.

Tight End

Zach Ertz: Streaming Option, TE2

Zach Ertz has been plenty busy this season as a safety blanket for his rookie QB and had another solid showing against his former team in Philadelphia. He caught six of seven targets for 47 yards and a touchdown. You can continue to lean on Ertz as a TE2 this week. It’s worth noting that he has had success in his career against the Cowboys. Per StatMuse, Ertz has 79 catches for 741 yards and five touchdowns in 18 total games.

  1. Garrett Walker says:

If Sam Darnold is not a must sit then why is he labeled “Sit”?

    Why not label him “QB2”?

    • We base our rankings on single-QB leagues since they’re the most common, so any QB outside of our top 12 would technically be labeled a “Sit.” We try to provide some insight in terms of if they’re a viable streamer or start in SF leagues as well, but that’s our general process for that position!
