Minnesota Vikings

Quarterback

Carson Wentz: SIT

After cruising in Week 3, Carson Wentz tossed the rock 46 times for 350 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in Week 4 against the Steelers in Dublin. It was a chaotically beautiful classic Wentz mess. On one hand, he dropped a dime for a beautiful back-shoulder throw to Jordan Addison, and he peppered Justin Jefferson with targets all day. On the other hand, he threw two picks, including an ugly, game-ending interception on their final drive. The Vikings stayed overseas to play in London vs. the Browns, who allow the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. They held (pre-injury) Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, and Jared Goff under 230 passing yards, and two of the three under 200. Park his keister on the bench.

Running Back

Jordan Mason: START, RB2
Zavier Scott: SIT

The Browns boast one of the best defenses in the NFL, and that means tough sledding for Jordan Mason in foggy London town. Cleveland held (pre-Burrow injury) Chase Brown, Josh Jacobs, and Derrick Henry to a combined 96 rushing yards and one touchdown. Any guesses who? Wrong, it was Chase Brown (STOP. You didn’t guess him). With byes and running backs dropping like flies, Mason is locked in as a volume-based RB2. But keep your expectations in check. Zavier Scott isn’t startable and probably not even rosterable. But he did see eight targets and catch a touchdown. A beautiful one, I might add.

Scott’s worth keeping an eye on.

Wide Receiver

Justin Jefferson: START, WR1
Jordan Addison: START, WR3
Jalen Nailor: SIT

You don’t need me to tell you to start Justin Jefferson. But did you know he shares a birthday (June 16) with legendary rapper Tupac Shakur? The impact of Jordan Addison‘s return was felt immediately. Jefferson had more room to work, and Addison himself made some noise, catching four of eight targets for 114 yards. He grabbed that tough back-shoulder throw early in the game, and in the fourth quarter, absolutely blew by the secondary for a huge 81-yard completion that set up a Jalen Nailor touchdown.

Tight End

T.J. Hockenson: STREAMER

T.J. Hockenson managed just four catches for 39 yards in Week 4 and has yet to eclipse 50 receiving yards this season. With Addison back drawing targets and attention, Hockenson is now just a borderline starter at tight end.

Defense/Special Teams

Minnesota Vikings: START

Minnesota’s defense leads the league in fumble recoveries (5) and is top five in sacks (11). Oh, and rookie Dillon Gabriel will make his NFL debut. In London. Across the pond. Woof.

Cleveland Browns

Quarterback

Dillon Gabriel: SIT

Scroll up to the Vikings D/ST blurb.

Running Back

Quinshon Judkins: START, RB2
Jerome Ford: SIT
Dylan Sampson: SIT

Quinshon Judkins had his first 20-point fantasy week and cemented his role as the Browns’ workhorse. He rushed 21 times for 82 yards and a touchdown for the second straight week. He’s also chipping in through the air with four catches for 33 yards. Judkins is absolutely locked in as a volume-based RB2 with weekly RB1 upside. You start him every single week.

Wide Receiver

Cedric Tillman* Placed on IR
Jerry Jeudy SIT
Isaiah Bond SIT

Scroll up to the Dillon Gabriel blurb. That, and Minnesota allows the fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

Tight End

David Njoku: SIT
Harold Fannin Jr.: SIT

With tight end lover Joe Flacco benched, target distribution is a complete unknown for all Browns, let alone David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. All things considered, you can’t start either of them.

Defense/Special Teams

Cleveland Browns: START
