Kickoff: Sunday, October 5, 2025, 1 p.m. ET

Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

Network: FOX

Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback

Dak Prescott: START, QB1

Naturally, Dak Prescott has his best performance of the season in his first full game without CeeDee Lamb. Against arguably one of the best defenses in the league in Green Bay, no less. A top-10 matchup against a Jets defense that gave up six total touchdowns to Aaron Rodgers and Tua Tagovailoa this season, Prescott is a must-start.

Running Back

Javonte Williams: START, RB2
Miles Sanders: SIT
Jaydon Blue: SIT

The undisputed bell cow back for the Cowboys, Javonte Williams has four touchdowns and currently ranks as RB6 on the season. The Jets are an average matchup, but considering Williams has the backfield all to himself, he’s a locked and loaded RB2. Miles Sanders is dealing with an ankle injury, and if he misses, rookie Jaydon Blue could be active for the first time. Neither is fantasy viable.

Wide Receiver

Ceedee Lamb*Expected OUT with high ankle sprain.
George Pickens: START, WR1
Jalen Tolbert: SIT
KaVonte Turpin: SIT

Well, hello, George Pickens.

Pickens went nuclear against the Packers, catching eight of 11 targets for 134 yards and two tuddys, including the go-ahead score with 43 seconds left in the game. He’s averaged nearly 10 targets and 23 fantasy points per game over his last three, and despite the mediocre matchup, slots in as a WR1 for Week 5. As long as the volume continues, he’ll remain a WR1 at least until the return of Lamb. Neither Jalen Tolbert nor KaVonte Turpin is in starting fantasy consideration.

Tight End

Jake Ferguson: START, TE1

Just like we all drew it up, Jake Ferguson is the TE1 through the first four weeks of the season. Averaging just under 10 targets per game, he’s scored over 15 fantasy points in three straight games. Ferguson is locked in as an every-week starter and gets to face a Jets defense that just allowed two touchdown catches to Darren Waller.

Defense/Special Teams

Dallas Cowboys: SIT

The Cowboys’ defense has allowed 108 points over the past three games.

New York Jets

Quarterback

Justin Fields: START, QB1

Justin Fields bounced back bigly from his abysmal Week 2 performance against the Bills, scoring two touchdowns and combining for 307 total yards of offense. Fields should feast against a Dallas defense that allows the most fantasy points to the position. Fields is nearing “fun fact” status.

Running Back

Breece Hall: START, RB1
Braelon Allen
Isaiah Davis: SIT

Reports of a committee backfield in New York were greatly exaggerated, with Breece Hall playing 59.8% of the running back snaps for Gang Green. Braleon Allen was placed on IR with an MCL sprain, putting Hall in line for even more work. He’s been heavily involved in the passing game as well, averaging nearly five targets per game. Dallas is one of the most favorable matchups for running backs from a fantasy perspective. This could be the Breece Hall blowup week we’ve yet to see this season.

Wide Receiver

Garrett Wilson: START, WR1
Josh Reynolds: SIT
Tyler Johnson: SIT

You don’t need me to tell you to start Garrett Wilson. But did you know he shares a birthday (July 22) with the Green Goblin himself, Willem Dafoe?

Tight End

Mason Taylor: SIT

Mason Taylor has back-to-back games with at least six targets, but until we see some more consistency, he’s off the fantasy radar.

Defense/Special Teams

New York Jets: SIT

I cannot advise starting a defense that allows 30 points per game.
