Quarterback
C.J. Stroud: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
C.J. Stroud got some reinforcements with the acquisition of Marvin Harrison Jr., but it’s going to take some time to see what kind of impact he will have on the offense. Stroud’s calling card this season has been the deep ball, tied with the third-highest aDOT in the league at 9.6 yards per attempt. But Jacksonville is a bottom-10 matchup that’s allowed just four passing touchdowns, the second fewest in the NFL. A line you’ll likely see a lot of in this week’s write-ups: I’d prefer to not start him, even in Superflex, but you may not have a choice.
Running Back
Woody Marks: FLEX, RB3
David Montgomery: SIT (If Active)
Dare Ogunbowale: SIT
There’s a good chance that David Montgomery misses this game, as he’s considered doubtful due to a groin injury he picked up in Week 5. But even if he’s active, Monty is a full-blown sit until he shows signs of life. Montgomery has just one game over five fantasy points since his Week 1 blow-up, while his backfield mate Woody Marks has had eight or more in each of those contests. Marks is a FLEX play despite the Jaguars allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to the position and an average of under 50 rushing yards per game, thanks to the Jaguars allowing six receptions to running backs per game. That ranks tied with second most on average with Buffalo.
Wide Receiver
Nico Collins: START, WR1
Marvin Harrison Jr: FLEX, WR4
Kayshon Boutte: SIT
Nico Collins is pretty darn close to auto-start “let’s do a bit instead of telling you what you already know” status. He’s coming off a bit of a dud with just 10.6 points in Week 5, but is WR5 on the season at 20.9 points per game. Jacksonville is a top 10 fantasy match for receivers, which is why I’m comfortable trotting out Marvin Harrison Jr. as a FLEX option his first week in Houston. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Harrison and Stroud were teammates at Ohio State for MHJ’s ridiculous sophomore season when he caught 77 passes for 1263 yards and 14 touchdowns. If anything can get Harrison right, it’s playing with his former teammate. I get it if you want to give it a week or two, though.
Tight End
Dalton Schultz: SIT
The personification of tHe gLoB: averaging over six targets per game, but has failed to get into the end zone in three straight games and, in turn, has three straight games with six points or less.
Defense/Special Teams
Houston Texans: START

Jacksonville Jaguars
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1
You’d be hard-pressed to find any matchup where Trevor Lawrence isn’t considered at least a borderline QB1, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit concerned with how well the Texans defense has played lately. Since Week 3, the Texans have allowed two total passing touchdowns and sacked the quarterback 11 times. Lawrence has also been somewhat disappointing in fantasy so far for 2026. He’s played fine and currently sits as QB14, but he’s yet to get much going on the ground, averaging just 12 rushing yards per game and is yet to run one into the end zone. To enter that top 10, top 5 consideration, TLaw has to bring the rushing production back that we saw last season.
Running Back
Bhayshul Tuten: START, RB2
Chris Rodriguez Jr.: SIT
Lequint Allen Jr.: SIT
Houston is a bottom-five matchup for opposing running backs, but you’re still firing up Bhayshul Tuten considering the volume he’s seeing. Tuten has been totin’ the rock 18 times per game in his last three and seeing at least two targets per game. That type of volume puts just about any back in RB2 territory when players like Jahmyr Gibbs are on bye.
Wide Receiver
Parker Washington: START, WR1
Jakobi Meyers: START, WR3
Brian Thomas Jr.: SIT
Technically, the Texans are allowing the second-most points to the position, but that is heavily skewed by CeeDee Lamb‘s Week 4 historic performance where he put up a 40 burger. Outside of Lamb, only one receiver has scored more than 13 fantasy points since Week 3. Parker Washington is pretty much a weekly WR1 at this point in any matchup, and I like the fact that Jakobi Meyers’ targets have jumped to five per game over the last three. That’s enough to slot him in as a WR3 on a week with four teams on bye. As for Brian Thomas Jr., I hope he gets the MHJ treatment and is dealt to a team that may actually use him.
Tight End
Brenton Strange: SIT
Brenton Strange had his second straight game over 13 fantasy points, matching his seven-catch, eight-target performance from Week 4. But the Texans are allowing just nine points per game to the position, and the game has one of the lowest implied game totals of the week.
Defense/Special Teams
Jacksonville Jaguars: STREAMER
The Jags are holding opponents to 14 points per game, the second-lowest total in the league.
