Seattle Seahawks

Quarterback

Geno Smith (Start, QB2)

Albeit a bit careless with the ball against the Browns – throwing for two interceptions – Geno Smith delivered when it counted the most by leading a game-winning drive in the win last week against the Browns. He completed 23 of 37 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns, and is now averaging 267 yards through the air over his last three games. Holding a 9:6 passing touchdown to interception ratio, brace for a QB2 finish from Smith as he is set to face a Ravens defense that is allowing the 32nd-most fantasy points to QBs this season, which makes them the best unit in the league.

Running Backs

Kenneth Walker III (Start, RB2), Zach Charbonnet (Sit)

Kenneth Walker III had his lowest carry total of the season last week against Cleveland, turning just eight carries into 66 scoreless yards. Rookie Zach Charbonnet had 53 yards on five carries of his own, but did out-snap Walker 31 to 24. The upcoming matchup against Baltimore, a defense allowing an average of 13.2 fantasy points to opposing RBs this season, is one to leave Charbonnet on your bench. But start Walker if his calf holds up this week during practice.

Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

DK Metcalf (Start, WR2), Tyler Lockett (Start, WR3), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Start, FLEX), Noah Fant (Sit)

Seattle’s trio of WRs each offer fantasy value heading into a pivotal game against the Ravens. Tyler Lockett found paydirt last week for the first time since Week 2, catching eight of nine targets for 81 yards in the process, and will hope to keep his target share up.

DK Metcalf was targeted 14 times, but only had five receptions for 67 scoreless yards. More efficient days are ahead for Metcalf, who entered Week 7 after some hip and rib injuries.

Rookie Jaxon Smith-Njiba has come on as of late, scoring in back-to-back games; although his touchdown last week saved his fantasy day, as he otherwise had just three catches for 36 yards. Metcalf will no doubt eat into JSN’s targets, but consider him a viable flex option.

The tight end room in Seattle is one to leave on your wire; the likes of Noah Fant, Colby Parkinson, and Will Dissly don’t possess any fantasy value in this offense.

Baltimore Ravens

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson (Start, QB1)

Lamar Jackson was pretty much a non-factor in the win against Arizona last week. He completed 18 of 27 attempts for just 157 yards and a touchdown. One would guess a box score such as this might not cut it against the Seahawks, so look for Jackson to have a bounce-back game against a Seattle defense allowing the 16th-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season.

Running Backs

Gus Edwards (Start, RB2), Justice Hill (Sit)

Have a day, Gus Edwards. The reason why Jackson didn’t do much through the air was because Edwards got it done on the ground against the Cardinals. On 19 carries, he had 80 yards and three touchdowns, and also caught both of his targets for 14 yards. Edwards now has four touchdowns in the last two games, and is the clear RB1 in a normally murky backfield. He still feels very touchdown-dependent, but as of late he’s played like a reliable RB2, and should be treated as such.

Justice Hill remains involved in the pass game, but he isn’t offering too much to warrant a spot in your lineup.

Wide Receivers/ Tight Ends

Zay Flowers (Start, WR3), Mark Andrews (Start, TE1)

Again, given that it was a very Gus Bus-heavy game, the Baltimore pass-catchers took a backseat last week.

Zay Flowers only had 19 yards against the Cardinals. Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor both laid a goose egg. Rashod Bateman was the best of the WRs, and even he had just two catches for 34 yards, and one rush for 18. Look for Flowers to bounce back, whereas the other options can’t be regularly trusted in your lineup.

Mark Andrews was the lone touchdown recipient, catching four of five targets for 40 yards. Seattle is strong against tight ends this season, allowing the 20th-most fantasy points to opposing TE’s, but Andrews remains on the TE1 radar.
