Sit or Start recommendations for every relevant player in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season.

Game Info

Kickoff: Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, 1:00 ET

Location: Huntington Bank Field, Cleveland, Ohio

Network: FOX

New York Giants

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: Sit, QB3

Daniel Jones is way off the radar when it comes to your standard fantasy football leagues. He was able to find the endzone twice last week but still was not able to eclipse 200 yards through the air. In Week 3, he faces one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Giants’ offense as a whole may be in for a tough week.

Running Back

Devin Singletary: FLEX Option

Devin Singletary rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 but still finished as the RB22 for the week. He is not involved in the passing game at all, which hurts his value for our purposes. He is an RB3 most weeks, which means he is rarely in your lineups. In Week 3, even if you don’t mind RB3 production, you should look elsewhere as he faces a tough Browns defense that is more susceptible to pass-catching backs than what Singletary brings to the table.

Wide Receiver

Malik Nabers: Start, WR2

Until further notice, the only Giants wide receiver you need to ever think about is Malik Nabers. Nabers saw a staggering 18 targets in Week 2. He had two-thirds of the Giants’ targets and was able to find the end zone for his first career score. Volume will always be his calling card as long as Daniel Jones is the Quarterback, and in a tough matchup, that should still be enough. Nabers is a mid-range WR2 this week, and his 12.5 target per-game average (212 Target Pace) is what all fantasy managers should focus on right now.

Tight End

Sit All

Theo Johnson and Daniel Bellinger did not record a target in Week 2. It’s the Nabers show in New York.

Cleveland Browns

Quarterback

Deshaun Watson: Sit, QB2

Deshaun Watson has yet to pass for 200 yards in a game this season. The last time he even threw for 250 yards was Week 3 of 2023. It is time to move on.

Running Back

Jerome Ford: FLEX Option

Jerome Ford has started to lose work to D’Onta Foreman. We all saw this coming, but the important thing to note here is that Foreman was not very productive with those touches. I would still be okay rolling out Ford until we see an actual changing of the guard. He has a great matchup in Week 3 against the Giants, who have given up the eighth most fantasy points to the running back position. I am not listing Foreman here because he shouldn’t sniff lineups in Week 3. He was only able to produce 42 scoreless yards on 14 carries last week.

Wide Receiver

Amari Cooper: Start, WR3/FLEX
Jerry Jeudy: Sit
Elijah Moore: Sit

The Browns’ wide receivers are mostly guys you should be avoiding right now, as Deshaun Watson is not even a replacement-level player at this point. The consistency here is something to monitor. While he has been unproductive in the first two weeks, Amari Cooper has seen eight targets in each of his first two games. He faces a surprisingly tough Giants defense in Week 3, which lowers his ceiling even further, but Cooper has WR1 potential if he can get on the same page as his Quarterback.

Tight End

Sit All

David Njoku is unlikely to play this week, and Jordan Akins won’t get the job done in your lineups. Look elsewhere for your Tight End in Week 3.
