Baltimore Ravens
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson: Start, QB1
Lamar Jackson, even with a down performance, managed to finish the week with a QB1-caliber performance. Week 3 poses a challenge with the Dallas Cowboys, but Jackson’s rushing floor should carry him to success once again. He is not leaving your lineups in any case, but just in case you were hesitant, expect Jackson to flirt with 300 total yards and a pair of scores this week.
Running Back
Derrick Henry: Start, RB1
Justice Hill: Sit
Derrick Henry is difficult to evaluate. On the one hand, he is on a prolific offense and is the hammer at the goal line. On the other hand, if he doesn’t get into the end zone, he goes from an RB1 to a low-end RB2. Dallas has been weak against the run this season, so Henry could be in line for some expanded work. Like in Week 1, if the Ravens find themselves in catch-up mode, Justice Hill should get some more runs, but I wouldn’t bank on that being a win for your fantasy lineups in Week 3.
Wide Receiver
Zay Flowers: Start, WR2
Zay Flowers is the only Ravens wide receiver to really consider when it comes to your starting lineups. In Week 2, Flowers had something of a breakout performance, leading the Ravens in all receiving categories. Flowers may not see the same volume this week, but he is a mainstay on offense. He is firmly in the WR2 conversation, and you can expect him to flirt with double-digit targets for the third time this season.
Tight End
Mark Andrews: Start, TE1
Isaiah Likely: Start, TE1
Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely will be a duo to watch this week. Andrews supplanted Likely as the top tight end for the Ravens in Week 2, so it will be something to monitor closely in the coming weeks. They both were on the field for at least 50% of the snaps, which bodes well for the spectacular tight-end tandem. They combined for eight targets in Week 2, but we would like to see that climb to double digits to see regular TE1 production for both players.
Dallas Cowboys
Quarterback
Dak Prescott: Sit, QB2
Dak Prescott has yet to crack the QB1 tier this season. He faces another tough matchup with the Ravens in Week 3. I expect him to fall short of that elusive top-12 once again, but his QB1 days are coming soon.
Running Back
Ezekiel Elliott: Sit
Rico Dowdle: Sit
“The Cowboys running backs may help fantasy managers further into the season, but in the first month, it is unlikely that either should be in your starting lineups.”
This is what I said the last two weeks, and I stand by it. Ezekiel Elliott and Rico Dowdle both splitting touches has been uninspiring for fantasy football and NFL purposes. Keep them on your bench for now.
Wide Receiver
CeeDee Lamb: Start, WR1
Brandin Cooks: Sit
Jalen Tolbert: Sit
CeeDee Lamb is the Cowboys wide receiver you are rolling out confidently this week. The Ravens have not been as good as you would expect in their first two weeks against opposing wide receivers (6th most points allowed to wide receivers). That may open the door for some opportunities for Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert, but Lamb is the only one who will make the starting lineup in Week 3.
Tight End
Sit All
In Jake Ferguson‘s absence, you can avoid the tight ends for the Cowboys, as I don’t see Luke Schoonmaker making much of an impact on fantasy teams this week. If Ferguson does manage to suit up, he won’t be playing at full strength, and it would be a risky play.
