New York Jets

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers: Sit

Hobbled and coming off of a very poor performance in the Week 7 loss against the Steelers, Aaron Rodgers needs to get right this week if the Jets want to have any chance at saving their spiraling season. Rodgers was 24 of 39 for 276 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Both were costly to the Jets in blowing a 15-6 lead to end up losing 37-15 to Pittsburgh in primetime on Sunday night. All that said, the practice reports this week have suggested he is dealing with knee, ankle, and now a hamstring injury, so there is no need to stream Rodgers in this spot.

Running Back

Breece Hall: Start, RB1
Braelon Allen: Sit

Breece Hall had a big night in the loss to the Steelers, highlighted by catching six of nine targets for 103 yards. He also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Now having posted back-to-back 20+ full-PPR games, he’s set to face a New England defense that is allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing RBs on the season. Back in Week 3 against the Patriots — coincidentally, the last time the Jets won a game — Hall ran for 54 yards and a score, paired with four receptions on five targets for 29 yards.

Braelon Allen has not been a fantasy, nor IRL factor since arguably Week 2, and won’t be a recommended option at this point unless Hall were to miss time.

Wide Receiver

Davante Adams: Start, WR2
Garrett Wilson: Start, WR2
Allen Lazard: Sit
Mike Williams: Sit

It was a lackluster Jets debut for Davante Adams, having caught three of nine targets for 30 scoreless yards. You can certainly be encouraged by the target share, which will no doubt continue as both he and Rodgers look to bring back their Green Bay spark of the past. Quite frankly they have no choice but to do that with the way the Jets season looks like it’s hanging on by a thread. Both Adams and Garrett Wilson should bounce back against the Patriots this week, keeping them on the WR2 radar. In Week 3, Wilson caught five of nine targets for 33 yards and a touchdown against New England.

At the time of writing, Allen Lazard missed another practice on Wednesday with a chest injury, and if he were to miss this game, Mike Williams would theoretically step up in his place. However, the reality is that the extra targets are going to find their way to either Adams or Wilson.

Tight End

Tyler Conklin: Sit

As a Jets fan myself, I had higher hopes for Tyler Conklin entering the season, but it has not worked out as envisioned to this point. Yes, he did find the end zone (for the first time since 2022, mind you) last week, but in a week where there are no teams on BYE, you could do better than streaming Conklin despite the TE landscape remaining to be a pain point in the fantasy sphere.

New England Patriots

Quarterback

Drake Maye: Sit

Since taking over under center for the Pats, rookie Drake Maye has been more than serviceable. He owns a 5:2 touchdown to interception ratio, but his opponents were the Texans and then the Jags in London. The Jets may be losers of four straight, but their defense is allowing the 29th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. With there being no BYEs across the league this week, I would recommend passing on Maye for this one in a single-QB league.

Running Back

Rhamondre Stevenson: FLEX Option, RB3
Antonio Gibson: Sit

The Jets have had a problem defending the run for most of this season, yet are allowing just the 23rd most fantasy points to opposing RBs on the year. Rhamondre Stevenson laid a dud in London against the Jags — in a favorable matchup no less — turning seven carries into 18 scoreless yards. If you are reliant on Stevenson still as an RB for your lineup on the weekly, consider him a FLEX option, as Marco Enriquez has him ranked as the WR28 entering the week.

Antonio Gibson isn’t fantasy-relevant as long as Stevenson is on the field.

Wide Receiver

DeMario Douglas: FLEX, WR3
Kayshon Boutte: Sit

Week 7 was disappointing for those who started DeMario Douglas coming off of his blow-up Week 6, as he only logged 20 snaps due to an illness. As of Wednesday, he’s no longer on the injury report, and Pop should remain a preferred target for Maye; considering the fact that in Maye’s starting debut, Douglas ‘popped off’ for 92 yards and a touchdown, catching six of nine targets in the process.

Kayshon Boutte is not a fantasy-relevant pass catcher for the Patriots at this time.

Tight End

Hunter Henry: Streaming Option

Without Douglas in the mix, Hunter Henry was the go-to target for Maye in the London loss to Jacksonville, catching eight of nine targets for 92 yards. Henry only has one touchdown on the year, which came in Week 6, but he should remain on the streaming radar in an offense that only has him and Douglas as reliable options. On Sunday night against Pittsburgh, the Jets allowed Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington to combine for 87 yards on six total catches.
