Carolina Panthers

Quarterback

Bryce Young: Sit

Bryce Young is getting another chance as the starting QB for the Panthers, but only because Andy Dalton injured his thumb in a car accident this week. Young is a very uninspiring QB and now faces one of the most difficult secondaries on the road. Avoid at all costs.

Running Back

Chuba Hubbard: Start, RB2
Jonathon Brooks: Sit
Miles Sanders: Sit

Because of the desperation start of Bryce Young at QB, the Panthers will likely keep their offense on the ground. Chubba Hubbard has had a very impressive season thus far and should see high volume this week making him a fantasy starter, but expectations should be managed as the Broncos will likely pack the box and force Young to throw the ball. Jonathon Brooks may get his first NFL action this week, but if you have him you’re better off waiting another week before considering him for your lineup. Even if Brooks doesn’t make it on the field, there should be plenty of better options to consider than Miles Sanders.

Wide Receiver

Diontae Johnson: Start, WR2
Xavier Leggette: Sit

Diontae Johnson is the team’s leading receiver and the WR20 in PPR, and despite a difficult matchup, he should get enough volume to stay in your lineup this week. With Young behind center, the limited targets to Xavier Leggette do not bode well for his output.

Tight End

Ja’Tavion Sanders: Sit

The rookie TE had his best game last week, but Ja’Tavion Sanders shouldn’t sniff your lineup for this contest.

Denver Broncos

Quarterback

Bo Nix: Sit, QB2

Bo Nix failed to make the cut as a QB1 this week due to the better options ahead of him, but he has shown improvement throughout the year as a dual-threat quarterback. He’s rushed for over 60 yards in both of the past two games but struggles to break the 200-yard mark through the air. If you have a more reliable option at QB, then Nix should stay on the bench due to his low ceiling. He could be considered as a spot-start this week, if necessary.

Running Back

Jevonte Williams: Start, RB2
Jaleel McLaughlin: Sit
Audric Estime: Sit

Last week’s two-touchdown performance from Jevonte Williams was an extremely encouraging sign for his resurgence as a starting fantasy option going forward. The Panthers have allowed the most rushing yards and touchdowns of any team in the league, setting the stage for him to follow up with another solid output this week. Even with the favorable matchup, Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime are far less trustworthy to consider putting in your lineup, what with Williams exploding back onto the scene.

Wide Receiver

Courtland Sutton: FLEX Option, WR3
Troy Franklin: Sit
Devaughn Vele: Sit

Last week’s goose from Courtland Sutton was surprising and should only be seen as a yellow flag. He is still the leading receiver in this offense despite Troy Franklin being Nix’s teammate since their time at Oregon. This is a favorable matchup for Denver, but Sutton should be the only receiver considered to throw in your Flex as there should be better options than either Franklin or Devaughn Vele.

Tight End

Lucas Kroll: Sit
Adam Trautman: Sit

Lucas Kroll has quietly gone back-to-back games with 4 targets, but that still isn’t enough share of a bottom-tier passing offense to be a viable fantasy option. The same goes for Adam Trautman who only has two catches on the season.
