New York Giants

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: Sit, QB2

Daniel Jones is as volatile as they come and simply cannot be trusted as a fantasy option. He’s elevated by Malik Nabers making things easier on him, and yet he still can’t manage to show enough reliability in fantasy to earn his way off your bench.

Running Back

Tyrone Tracy: FLEX Option
Devin Singletary: Sit

This Steelers defense is a fickle matchup that doesn’t allow much production out of the backfield. Tyrone Tracy has earned a larger share, and his usage in the passing game allows him to be considered as a Flex option; however, Devin Singletary should be left on the bench for this game.

Wide Receiver

Malik Nabers: Start, WR1
Wan’Dale Robinson: FLEX Option
Darius Slayton: Sit

The rookie sensation was limited last week against Philadelphia upon his return from concussion protocol, though it can be expected for this offense to return to leaning on Malik Nabers. Even with Nabers seeing the lion’s share of targets, Wan’Dale Robinson should also be involved enough for a potential Flex play, if required. Behind those two and Tyrone Tracy, Darius Slayton should be left on the bench.

Tight End

Theo Johnson: Sit

Also expected to see a limited target share, Theo Johnson is a very low-end TE and other, better options are out there for your lineup.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Quarterback

Russell Wilson: Sit, QB2

Russell Wilson’s strong performance during his first game of the season last week earned him the starting role going forward. While he looked as impressive as the Russ of old, we should still wait to see another week before relying on him as a starting option. Last week was encouraging though, and he could be considered for a spot-start if you’re in a bind.

Running Back

Najee Harris: Start, RB2
Jaylen Warren: Sit
Cordarrelle Patterson: Sit

Najee Harris has done well to lead this backfield through this point in the season and should continue to do so, but the Giants aren’t as easy of a matchup as one may think. His volume still makes him a starter, but the complimentary role filled by Jaylen Warren relegates him to the bench alongside Cordarrelle Patterson.

Wide Receiver

George Pickens: Start, WR2
Calvin Austin: Sit
Roman Wilson: Sit

If you have George Pickens on your roster, you’ve been waiting for his breakout game and it finally came following the QB change to Russell Wilson. This isn’t to overreact to one week, as he’s been the team’s primary target and has had misfortune take away potentially bigger games in previous weeks. With that said, Pittsburgh doesn’t run a highly efficient offense so Pickens can only be seen as a potential WR2 until we see more from Russ. Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson aren’t expected to get large enough slices of this small pie to consider for your lineup.

Tight End

Pat Friermuth: Sit

The other Penn State TE alum in this game, Pat Friermuth, has only seen 3 targets in each of the last 3 games, so he too should be left on the bench until we see more from him on a consistent basis.
