Green Bay Packers
Quarterback
Jordan Love: Start, QB1
Jordan Love is a must-start this week, no doubt about it. He hasn’t thrown for less than 220 yards in any of the games he’s played and is averaging 22.2 fantasy points per game in 4-point passing TD formats. The Jaguars defense is one of the best matchups you could hope for, as they’ve allowed the second most passing yards of any team this season. The only risk with Love this week is if they get out to an early lead with rushing touchdowns, and elect to run the clock with the ground game. Realistically, he should have plenty of time and opportunity to put up good numbers.
Running Back
Josh Jacobs: Start, RB1
Emanuel Wilson: Sit
While the Jaguars have allowed the second-most passing yards, they’re also a middle-of-the-pack run defense. This Packers offense should have no problem moving the ball and getting into scoring position, and Josh Jacobs is dominating both snap and rush share with Emanuel Wilson coming in as the reliever. Jacobs struggled to find the endzone to start the season but has found the paydirt in two of the last three contests — sportsbooks have him with the best odds of anyone to score in this contest.
Wide Receiver
Jayden Reed: Start, WR2
Romeo Doubs: FLEX Option, WR3
Christian Watson: Sit
Dontayvion Wicks: Sit
We’ve now seen that when all four receivers are healthy, most of the passing game feeds through Jayden Reed with Romeo Doubs next in line. Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks simply don’t see enough target share to be reliable starters and fall more into the touchdown-dependent category.
Tight End
Tucker Kraft: Start, TE1
Currently the TE4 in PPR, Tucker Kraft has emerged as a key piece of this offense and has scored 4 touchdowns in the last 4 games. He typically doesn’t see a huge target share but his play-making ability and endzone targets make him a weekly starter — especially in this matchup.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence: Sit, QB2
At this point in his career and this season, you know what you get with Trevor Lawrence. This year he’s only eclipsed 200 passing yards in three of his seven games, and also has only three games where he’s thrown a touchdown without an interception. Led by Xavier McKinney, this Packers defense has the third most interceptions in the league. The Jaguars may have to lean on the passing game, but he’s not a trustworthy option to start in your lineup.
Running Back
Tank Bigsby: Start, RB2
Travis Etienne: Sit
D’Ernest Johnson: Sit
Green Bay may be creating turnovers in the passing game, but their run defense doesn’t pose a particularly difficult matchup. Tank Bigsby seems to have taken over as the lead back, especially with Travis Etienne recovering from a hamstring injury. If Etienne plays, he’ll likely see a managed workload behind Bigsby alongside D’Ernest Johnson.
Wide Receiver
Brian Thomas Jr.: Start, WR2
Christian Kirk: FLEX Option, WR3
Gabe Davis: Sit
Brian Thomas Jr. is the WR8 in PPR and should continue to be in your lineup, especially in a game where the Jaguars may be playing from behind. The best games from Christian Kirk came when Evan Engram was out, and Kirk’s production dipped immediately upon his return. Similar to Wicks and Watson on the other side of the ball, Gabe Davis doesn’t see a reliable enough target share and is a volatile option to avoid when possible.
Tight End
Evan Engram: Start, TE1
Lawrence’s favorite target last season jumped right back into the mix with 15 targets in his last two games back from injury. Evan Engram is nearly a WR who’s labeled a TE, so he belongs in the lineup due to the hefty volume share he should continue to see.
