Arizona Cardinals
Quarterback
Kyler Murray: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Kyler Murray temporarily left Week 5’s game against the Titans with a foot issue, but was able to return and finish the game. He’s expected to play against the Colts, but keep an eye on practice reports. Murray’s been rather average this season, scoring one touchdown in three of five games and yet to surpass 220 passing yards. The Colts are a bottom-10 fantasy matchup for quarterbacks and held four of five opposing QBs under 230 passing yards. He’s best left for Superflex leagues.
Running Back
Michael Carter: START, RB2
Emari Demercado: SIT
Bam Knight: SIT
For the second week in a row, we had huge fantasy implications from another player pulling a “DeSean Jackson“. If you’re not sure what I mean, see below:
How does this keep happening?!
Cardinals RB Emari Demercado drops the ball before he crosses the end zone, as shown on the CBS replays. 🏈🤦 #NFL pic.twitter.com/XRTHfRZvBC

Emari Demercao broke free for what should have been a massive 70-yard touchdown, only to nonchalantly toss the ball just before actually getting to the goal line, costing the Cardinals (and fantasy managers) a touchdown. Michael Carter was already operating as the RB1 before the gaffe, playing 58% of snaps and receiving 23 touches, totaling 73 yards, five catches, and a touchdown. Carter is a low-end RB2 with what appears to be locked-in volume. I wouldn’t drop Demercado, but you can’t risk starting him in case the fumble costs his role to shrink.
Wide Receiver
Marvin Harrison Jr.: START, WR1
Zay Jones: SIT
Michael Wilson: SIT
It appeared the Cardinals were getting Marvin Harrison Jr involved early and often, with MHJ catching three passes for 79 yards in the first quarter. He nearly scored as well, but the touchdown call was reversed by replay, and he was declared down just short of the goal line. Harrison would see just two more targets and only catch one of them. Considering the Cards went on to lose the game in embarrassing fashion, it’s no surprise Arizona’s offensive coordinator said he should have gotten Marv the ball more. Look for Arizona to right that wrong in a potential blow-up spot for Mitsubishi Maserati Marv against a Colts defense allowing the 5th most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Indianapolis has given up eight passing touchdowns and allowed the seventh most receptions (118) this season. I’m a bit higher on him than consensus, but these ingredients have Marv as WR11 in my weekly rankings.
Tight End
Trey McBride: START, TE1
You don’t need me to tell you to start Trey McBride, but did you know he was college teammates with his own brother, Toby McBride, at Colorado State? While Trey was dominating on offense as a tight end, his older brother was a key player on the defensive line for the Rams.
Defense/Special Teams
Arizona Cardinals: STREAMER
The Cardinals’ defense is holding opponents to under 20 points per game and has forced six turnovers this season, tied with Atlanta for the sixth most.
Indianapolis Colts
Quarterback
Daniel Jones: START, QB1
Daniel Jones had a modest fantasy total in Week 5, but on the bright side, he scored multiple touchdowns for the first time since Week 2. There’s no need for concern, even with Jones having his lowest passing yardage total of the season; he played fine. The Colts’ sheer dominance of the Raiders gave no reason for Indy to pass a whole lot, and the running backs ran it in four times. Three for Jonathan Taylor and one for Ameer Abdullah. Yes, that Ameer Abdullah (I legitimately didn’t realize he was still in the league). The Cards have been tough on opposing quarterbacks, allowing the fewest fantasy points and holding four of five quarterbacks to one or fewer touchdowns. But Indiana Jones is playing well enough that he’s still a starter in nearly all formats.
Running Back
Jonathan Taylor: START, RB1
Tyler Goodson: SIT
Dj Giddens: SIT
You don’t need me to tell you to start Jonathan Taylor, but did you know he was college teammates with T.J. Watt at Wisconsin? They shared the field for just one season in 2017, which was Watt’s last year and Taylor’s explosive freshman campaign.
Wide Receiver
Michael Pittman Jr.: START, WR2
Josh Downs: FLEX, WR5
Alec Pierce: SIT
Would you believe it if I said Michael Pittman was currently WR5 on the season? I hope not, because he isn’t. But I was surprised to figure out he’s currently the WR13. He’s scored in three straight games and four of five on the season, although he’s yet to surpass 80 receiving yards in a single game. Jones is looking his way early and often, with Pittman leading the team in both target share (22.2%) and first read rate (25.4%). The involvement keeps Pittman a rock-solid WR2 with a splash of upside. Josh‘s role is Down(s) this season, thanks to the addition of stud rookie Tyler Warren, and his route participation is down about 13%. But he’s coming off his best game of the season (by a whopping three yards) and his second with eight targets. There are simply too many mouths to feed in Indy and not enough passing volume to go around for him to be consistent.
Tight End
Tyler Warren: START, TE1
You don’t need me to tell you to start Tyler Warren, but did you know he was college teammates with Jahan Dotson at Penn State? His fellow pass-catcher went on to become a first-round draft pick for the Washington Commanders.
Defense/Special Teams
Indianapolis Colts: START
The Colts’ defense ranks Top 5 in interceptions, tied for the fourth most turnovers, and is one of three teams allowing fewer than 18 points per game.
