Seattle Seahawks
Quarterback
Sam Darnold: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
I apologize to you, Sam Darnold. I “wasn’t familiar with your game”, as the youths say.. I wasn’t expecting much from Darnold in Seattle, but he’s been steady-eddie outside of his abysmal Week 1. Darnold’s coming off his first 300+ yard game in Seattle and also tossed four touchdowns versus Tampa. He heads to Jacksonville in Week 6, which has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
Running Back
Kenneth Walker III: START, Borderline RB2
Zach Charbonnet: FLEX, RB3
The maddening usage of Kenneth Walker really grinds my gears. He had 10 carries for 86 yards—an elite 8.6 YPC—but saw only one more attempt than Zach Charbonnet (9 carries, 36 yards, 1 TD). Walker had a touchdown once again vultured by Charbonnet, who finished with a mediocre 4.0 YPC. You can clearly see who the better runner is, but the Seahawks are committed to this near 50/50 split. Walker is the explosive runner, but Charbonnet caps his ceiling by taking the uber valuable red-zone work. If Walker were ever to get 65%+ of the touches, he’d be a weekly RB1. Until then, Charbonnet’s goal-line work frustratingly limits Walker’s high-end fantasy potential. I rank Walker slightly higher due to his explosiveness, despite the split workload.
Wide Receiver
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: START, WR1
Cooper Kupp: FLEX, WR4
Tory Horton: FLEX, WR5
You don’t need me to tell you to start Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but did you know he was college teammates with Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Marvin Harrison Jr. at Ohio State? That legendary 2021 wide receiver room was so talented that all four players went on to become first-round picks in the NFL Draft.
Tight End
AJ Barner: STREAMER
AJ Barner has seen some helium in his value in fantasy recently, scoring in two straight games and three of his last four. But before his seven catch, seven target game versus Tampa Bay, Barner maxed out at three for each. He’s certainly worth it. Pick up, but pump the brakes a bit before considering him anything more than a streamer.
Defense/Special Teams
Seattle Seahawks: START
Before getting blown up by Baker Mayfield and the Bucs, Seattle had held their opponents to 20 or fewer points in every game. Seattle is tied for the second most interceptions with seven and faces Trevor Lawrence, whose five interceptions are fourth most among quarterbacks.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Trevor Lawrence had a nice fantasy performance in Week 5 thanks to his two rushing touchdowns (if you’d call the last one that), but he’s not played well this season.

He has just one game with multiple passing touchdowns and a 6:5 touchdown to interception ratio. Seattle has surprisingly been pretty friendly to quarterbacks, allowing the 12th most fantasy points and eight passing touchdowns, but also seven interceptions. Lawrence is a decent start in Superflex, but not someone I’d want starting in 1QB leagues.
Running Back
Travis Etienne Jr.: START, RB2
Bhayshul Tuten: SIT
LeQuint Allen Jr.: SIT
Travis Etienne is coming off his first game under double-digit points this season, but is the unquestioned bellcow in Jacksonville, handling 54.6% of rushing attempts and 62% of running back snaps. Seattle is a slightly below-average matchup, but it just allowed two rushing touchdowns to Rachaad White. Etienne’s volume has him locked in as an RB2 at minimum.
Wide Receiver
Brian Thomas Jr.: START, Borderline WR2
Travis Hunter: FLEX, WR5
Dyami Brown: SIT
Brain Thomas Jr. continues to lead Jacksonville receivers in virtually every category outside of touchdowns, but has just two games over 10 points. The problem is, those two games were 10.6 and 12 points. He maintains elite upside and the WR1 potential we saw last season, but until Jacksonville’s passing game performs better, he’s a borderline WR2. Travis Hunter has yet to score double-digit points and hasn’t sniffed his ceiling. He’s a lottery ticket FLEX at best. Dyami Brown is a football player.
Tight End
Brenton StrangeJohnny Mundt: SIT
Hunter Long: SIT
Brenton Strange was emerging as a must-start tight end, but suffered a quad injury Monday night against the Chiefs and was placed on the IR. Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long should see more action with Strange sidelined, but they aren’t on the fantasy radar.
Defense/Special Teams
Jacksonville Jaguars: STREAMER (1 Week)
Jacksonville leads the league in takeaways with 14 and holds opponents to 20 points per game.
