Los Angeles Rams
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1
The reigning MVP leads the league in pass attempts per game and ranks second in passing yards per game, facing a Raiders defense giving up the sixth most fantasy points to the position. Matthew Stafford is a high-ceiling, high-volume play in a good spot despite losing Davante Adams for an extended period of time.
Running Back
Kyren Williams: START, RB1
Blake Corum: START, RB2
The Raiders give up five yards per carry along with the second-highest rate of explosive runs allowed, making Kyren Williams an easy RB1 in Week 7. Williams ranks second at the position in targets and catches per game and should eat from both ends against Vegas. Blake Corum has a top-10 explosive run rate and enough weekly work to be considered a high-risk, high-reward RB2. It’ll be interesting to see if the backfield touches shake up at all after Williams’ comments this week, but for now, we’ll treat these guys like we have all season.
Wide Receiver
Puka Nacua: START, WR1
Konata Mumpfield: SIT
Davante Adams: OUT
Puka Nacua has gone from kinda useful to impossible to live without. He’s the Notes app. You don’t think much of it at first, but you use it once, and six months later your entire life is in there. Davante Adams is out six to eight weeks with a ruptured hamstring, offering Konata Mumpfield a chance to produce some real fantasy value. But even in a plus matchup, I’m taking a wait-and-see approach.
Tight End
Tyler Higbee: SIT
Colby Parkinson: SIT
Terrance Ferguson: LIKELY OUT
Las Vegas gives up the seventh-most points to tight ends, but good luck trying to figure out which Rams tight end to start on a weekly basis. If you’re in a pinch, Tyler Higbee is probably the safer bet due to a more consistent target volume and snap share compared to Colby Parkinson.
Defense/Special Teams
Los Angeles Rams: STREAMER
The Rams allow the second-fewest passing yards per game but are tied for the second-fewest sacks.
Las Vegas Raiders
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1
Kirk Cousins hasn’t dipped below 14 points in his last three games and is tied for the second-most passing touchdowns per game. But the Rams are holding opponents to the second-fewest passing yards per game, making him a borderline QB1. He won’t win your week on his own, but he won’t kill you either.
Running Back
Ashton Jeanty: START, RB2
Mike Washington Jr.: SIT
Dylan Laube: SIT
Ashton Jeanty is still grinding away at barely three yards per carry, but it’s his third-highest targets per game that keeps him in your lineups. The Rams have allowed only two touchdowns to the position all year, so you’re not expecting much other than the pass game work anyway. Jeanty’s an RB2, and the rest of the Raiders’ backs are on the bench.
Wide Receiver
Tre Tucker: START, WR3
Cody White: SIT
Jalen Nailor: SIT
Tre Tucker is the only Raiders receiver you can start. Tucker went for 97 yards and two scores last week, and against a Rams defense that allows the fewest catches per game to wideouts but is tied for the third-most touchdowns to the position, he’s a boom-or-bust WR3.
Tight End
Brock Bowers: START, TE1
Brock Bowers has become part of your lineup’s weekly infrastructure since the day he set foot on the field his rookie year. If he were an app, he’d be Reminders. Incredibly useful and keeps everything on track, yet still somehow underappreciated.
Defense/Special Teams
Las Vegas Raiders: SIT
Las Vegas allows the fifth-most yards per game, and the Rams rarely get sacked.
