Arizona Cardinals
Quarterback
Jacoby Brissett: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1
Jacoby Brissett has just one touchdown pass in his previous two games, but a matchup with Dallas is good for what ails him. The Cowboys are a top-10 matchup with a mere two interceptions on the season and a 4.1% sack rate. Brissett has an abysmal 5.7 yards per attempt, but that doesn’t really matter when he’s chucking it over 40 times per game. Another game with an implied total pushing into the mid-50s, Brissett is a borderline QB1 and startable in all formats.
Running Back
Jeremiyah Love: START, RB2
Bam Knight: FLEX, RB3
Tyler Allgeier: SIT
Jeremiyah Love practiced in limited fashion for the first time in weeks on October 28th, but his status remains a question mark for Sunday against the Cowboys. If he’s able to go, a top-10 matchup is on tap with a Dallas defense allowing 145.7 rushing yards per game. Tyler Allgeier has helped carry the load but is dealing with a toe injury himself. But Bam Knight will carry the load again if Love can’t make it on the field, and would check in as a solid FLEX play given the matchup. He’s been the far more efficient back in Love’s absence.
Wide Receiver
Michael Wilson: START, WR1
Kendrick Bourne: SIT
Simi Fehoko: SIT
Michael Wilson has cooled off considerably since early in the season, but he’s a top 12 option for me against a Dallas defense that’s given up more than a touchdown per game to wide receivers. Wilson ranks ninth in targets per game and top three in both red zone and end zone targets. He’s the top guy for Brissett outside of Trey McBride, and has a chance to have his best game of the season against the Cowboys.
Tight End
Trey McBride: START, TE1
Starting Trey McBride is basically automatic. He’s the candy bowl by the door. Easy to find, impossible to ignore, and somehow responsible for half the night’s production.
Defense/Special Teams
Arizona Cardinals: SIT
Arizona allows the most points per game in the league. Hard pass.
Dallas Cowboys
Quarterback
Dak Prescott: START, QB1
Justin Herbert is the only quarterback this season to not score multiple touchdowns against Arizona. The list that’s thrown three against them includes Drew Lock and Jameis Winston. The Cardinals allow the most points per game and rank dead last in sacks per game with one. Dak Prescott is set up to blow up in Big D with Dallas’ implied point total pushing 31 points. Start him with confidence.
Running Back
Javonte Williams: START, RB1
Tyler Goodson: SIT
Emari Demercado: SIT
Over their last three games, Arizona has allowed over 30 points per game to running backs and ranks inside the top 10 for highest explosive run rate and yards per carry. Javonte Williams isn’t overly efficient or explosive, but at 75% snap share and 79% carry share, he’s an RB1 on volume alone coming off his best game of the season against Philadelphia.
Wide Receiver
CeeDee Lamb: START, WR1
George Pickens: START, WR1
Ryan Flournoy: FLEX, WR4
CeeDee Lamb ranks as the WR3 in points per game, first with 11 end zone targets, and gets an Arizona defense that’s allowed the second-most touchdowns to the position. He’s in. George Pickens’ ceiling hasn’t been overly impressive, but he’s scored 10+ in five of his last six and touchdowns in two of his last three, averaging 10 targets over that span. Both should eat against Arizona. And if you’re really in a pinch, Ryan Flournoy isn’t the worst of dart-throw FLEXes to consider. He’s received at least four targets in every game this season and has three straight double-digit PPR performances.
Tight End
Jake Ferguson: SIT
Arizona has allowed the fifth-most touchdowns to tight ends. Jake Ferguson finished last week with zero catches. The matchup is there; too bad Ferguson isn’t.
Defense/Special Teams
Dallas Cowboys: SIT
Dallas ranks bottom five in sacks and takeaways, with this game total sitting at 54.5. Nah.
