Cleveland Browns
Quarterback
Deshaun Watson: Sit, QB2
Deshaun Watson has yet to pass for 200 yards in a game this season. The last time he even threw for 250 yards was Week 3 of 2023. It is time to move on. The matchup is strong, which gives him some upside in Superflex leagues, but I am not gambling on Watson right now.
Running Back
Jerome Ford: FLEX Option, RB3
D’Onta Foreman: Sit
Jerome Ford brings some sneaky value as a flex option. The Eagles can be a tough nut to crack on the ground, but Ford’s versatility and potential for check-down targets give him a chance to make some noise, especially if Cleveland is playing catch-up, which feels likely in Week 6. D’Onta Foreman saw some increased usage in Week 5, but his touches have been too volatile to recommend starting him this week.
Wide Receiver
Amari Cooper FLEX Option, WR3
Jerry Jeudy: Sit, WR5
Elijah Moore: Sit
Amari Cooper has the skill set to do some damage, and the Eagles’ secondary has been inconsistent at best this season, allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. He’s a risky FLEX who could pop off with a big play or end up with a quiet day—it’s a bit of a coin flip, but one worth considering if you’re looking for upside. If Cooper is a risky enough play, neither Jerry Jeudy nor Elijah Moore should make it into your lineups if you can help it.
Tight End
Jordan Akins: Sit
David Njoku was injured again in Week 5, this time with a knee injury, making it unlikely he’ll suit up in Week 6. Jordan Akins isn’t getting the volume to make any waves, and the Eagles have done a decent job of keeping tight ends quiet. He’s best left on the waiver wire unless you’re feeling incredibly lucky.
Philadelphia Eagles
Quarterback
Jalen Hurts: Start, QB1
Hurts is your all-terrain vehicle at QB—mud, snow, or a tough Browns defense, he’s still going to get you where you need to go. His dual-threat capabilities make him a weekly starter regardless of matchup, and there’s always a chance for one of those multi-touchdown performances. He also should benefit tremendously from the return of both AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith this week.
Running Back
Saquon Barkley: Start, RB1
Saquon Barkley is a locked-in RB1 with no signs of slowing down. The Browns may be tough on opposing backs, but Saquon’s power and quickness make him a threat to break a big run or rack up catches in the passing game. He is leading the league amongst non-quarterbacks in fantasy points per game, and he is my RB1 overall for the remainder of the season.
Wide Receiver
A.J. Brown: Start, WR1
DeVonta Smith: Start, WR2
AJ Brown finally returns to the field in Week 6, and it couldn’t come at a better time with the Eagles in desperate need of its top two wide receivers. The Browns might have a solid defense, but Brown’s physical style and big-play potential make him a near-lock for your lineup every week. DeVonta Smith will also return from his concussion this week and is a safe WR2 who can also deliver big gains if the Eagles decide to air it out. He’s the type of player who can keep fantasy managers happy with steady points and the occasional highlight-reel catch. One of the best WR2s in the entire NFL, we could start to see this offense hit its stride against a confoundingly bad Browns team.
Tight End
Dallas Goedert: Start, TE1
Goedert is the dependable kind of tight end who won’t leave you high and dry. He’s always a factor in the red zone and can turn a few targets into a solid TE1 day, even against a tougher defense. He should see a dip in volume with Brown and Smith returning to the fray, but the low-end TE1 range is full of those kinds of question marks.
