Location: EverBank Stadium, Jacksonville, FL
Network: CBS
Los Angeles Chargers
Quarterback
Justin Herbert: START, QB1
Justin Herbert‘s three-game streak of three total touchdowns in each game was broken Sunday night against the Steelers, but he could get back to it against the Jags. Jacksonville has given up three or more touchdowns in four straight games, including three to Davis Mills last week and four to Geno Smith the week prior. What more do you need me to say?
Running Back
Kimani Vidal: START, RB2
Jaret Patterson: SIT
There are trains of thought for Kimani Vidal for fantasy. Either you’re starting him because he has 17 or more points in three of five starts, or you’re benching him. After all, he’s followed up the first two of those games with an eight points or less stinker. I don’t necessarily buy into the “either or” game premise with Vidal, but Jacksonville has been stingy with fantasy points to running backs. It has allowed the 10th-fewest points to the position and has only allowed three rushing touchdowns to running backs. If I have him, I’m starting Vidal as a borderline RB2.
Wide Receiver
Ladd McConkey: START, WR1
Quentin Johnston: START, WR3
Keenan Allen: FLEX, WR4
Member when Ladd McConkey was a bust?

Since Week 5, Ladd McConkey has the fourth-most receptions (35), third-most targets (52), third-most targets inside the 20 (10), and tied for the third-most touchdown catches among wide receivers (4). He’s officially back in must-start WR1 territory regardless of matchup. Quentin Johnston has cooled off considerably from his en fuego start to the season, but he has touchdown catches in half of his last six games. He’s a boom-or-bust WR3 worth taking a shot on against a Jaguars defense allowing the 10th-most points to the position and allowing the fourth-most completions (16) and touchdowns (4) on pass attempts over 20 yards. Keenan Allen has seen his targets decline with the return of McConkey to the top of the pecking order, but he’s a viable flex in a good matchup.
Tight End
Oronde Gadsden II: START, TE1
Breathe easy, Oronde Gadsden II fantasy managers. Gadsden was able to practice in full on Wednesday and is on track to play in Week 11 after leaving Week 10 with a knee injury. He still saw six targets despite leaving early and was well on his way to a fifth straight game with 10 or more fantasy points. Gadsden is already a must-start, but you may have to pick up your jaw when you see that Jacksonville allows the second-most fantasy points to tight ends.
Defense/Special Teams
Los Angeles Chargers: START
The Chargers rank in the top five in sacks and interceptions, and are holding opponents to 13.3 points per game over their last three.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence: SIT
Trevor Lawrence made some nice plays in the first half, and the Jaguars were able to get a quick 10-point lead thanks to two early turnovers. Lawrence was able to evade pressure with a little over 4 minutes left in the second quarter and hit tight end Alan Trammel with a 15-yard completion to get the Jags within field-goal range. The play was challenged by Houston but upheld, leading to Jacksonville kicker Cam Little nailing a 53-yarder. But Lawrence would amass just 59 passing yards in the second half, with the Texans’ defensive pressure leading to multiple second-half sacks. Lawrence’s second turnover of the day would be a costly one: a game-ending strip sack, returned for a touchdown as time expired by Will Anderson. TLaw is unstartable in all formats. The Chargers have allowed multiple passing touchdowns just once this season and have held 60% of quarterbacks faced under 200 passing yards.
Running Back
Travis Etienne Jr.: START, RB2
Bhayshul Tuten: SIT
LeQuint Allen Jr.: SIT
Travis Etienne Jr. had his second straight game with over 15 fantasy points, but didn’t look particularly good. ETN totaled just 58 rushing yards on 16 carries with an abysmal 3.6 yards per carry. He saw his usual allotment of pass game work but came down with just two catches for 19 yards. ETN did break a few tackles from Texans defenders for a 6-yard score in the third, and capped it off with some shade, hitting the trademark bow touchdown celebration of former Houston running back and fantasy legend Arian Foster.
Touchdown for Etienne!

Etienne’s volume keeps him a weekly starter and a solid RB2, but don’t confuse back-to-back decent fantasy totals as a sign he’s running the ball better.
Wide Receiver
Brian Thomas Jr.: START, WR3
Parker Washington: FLEX, WR4
Jakobi Meyers: FLEX, WR4
Parker Washington led the Jags with seven targets but was only able to turn them into three catches for 33 yards. That being said, one of those catches was an incredible toe-tap touchdown in the corner of the end zone with two Texans defenders draped all over him. Washington would follow up the first-quarter touchdown with a 75-yard punt return score in the second quarter. But Washington made a costly mistake toward the end of the first half that potentially cost the Jags points. He came a yard short of a first down on second-and-18 when he failed to reach out for the first-down marker. The flub forced the Jags to run a QB sneak for the first down, wasting a ton of time. Lawrence would end up throwing an interception on the very next play.
All in all, it was a respectable debut for the newly acquired Jakobi Meyers. He led the team in receiving yards and showed off his incredible hands with a 10-yard catch, making it with his eyes closed while falling because Houston CB Tremon Smith was all over him. The receiver room is eventually going to get a bit more crowded when Brian Thomas Jr. returns, but it was a welcome sight to see Meyers assimilate into the Jags’ offense so seamlessly. Meyers should have had the game’s first touchdown, but the score was called back on a false start penalty. I’d consider both Washington and Meyers flex options, with a bit of a safer floor if BTJ misses another game. Thomas was limited in practice at the time of writing and is a true toss-up to play Sunday. Keep an eye on practice reports; if he plays, Thomas is just a WR3 considering his struggles this season and the Chargers giving up the second-fewest points to the position.
Tight End
Austin Trammel: SIT
No.
Defense/Special Teams
Jacksonville Jaguars: SIT
They just gave up 30 points to the Davis Mills-led Texans.
