New York Jets
Quarterback
Justin Fields: SIT
Tyrod Taylor: SIT
At the time of writing, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was playing his “I’m not going to name a starter” game. But regardless of whether it’s Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor, neither is startable in any format.
Running Back
Breece Hall: START, RB2
Isaiah Davis: SIT
The Patriots have been an uncompromising matchup for running backs this season. Not only have they held every running back to under 100 yards this season, but Bucs running back Sean Tucker was the first to run for over 50 against them just last week. The one thing Breece Hall does have working for him, however, is that New England is the only team in the NFL allowing an average of six receptions per game to the running back position. Hall hasn’t seen an abundance of targets recently, but he averaged nearly five per game through the first five weeks of the season. And with his skill set, all he needs is one, as evidenced by the screen pass he took for a 42-yard touchdown against the Browns.

As the last remaining Jets offensive weapon, Hall will see plenty of action. But the double-edged sword is that the Patriots can focus all the defensive attention on him.
Wide Receiver
Garrett Wilson
Tyler Johnson: SIT
Arian Smith: SIT
AD Mitchell: SIT
If you’re looking for which Jets wide receiver you can start with Garrett Wilson expected to miss three to four games with a knee injury, 90’s R&B star Keith Sweat has the answer for you:

Tight End
Mason Taylor: STREAMER
The return of Garrett Wilson bumped Mason Taylor‘s targets back down to just two, but it seems that’s temporary with Wilson back on the shelf. The Jets had a run-heavy game plan and likely could do the same against the Pats, but in a top 10 fantasy matchup for tight ends and a lack of pass-catching options for the Jets, Taylor makes for a mighty fine streamer.
Defense/Special Teams
New York Jets: SIT
Don’t let the inflated Week 10 fantasy points fool you; the Jets aren’t getting two special teams touchdowns on Thursday night. If they do, I’ll record a video of myself running around like a jet to the theme song from “Jay Jay the Jetplane” and post it on X.
New England Patriots
Quarterback
Drake Maye: START, QB1
Drake Maye is obviously a lock in your lineup, but did you know that he has three brothers, and two have a college national championship ring? His brother Luke won the 2017 NCAA Basketball title at UNC, and his brother Cole won the 2017 College World Series in baseball at Florida.
Running Back
TreVeyon Henderson: START, RB1|FLEX, RB3 (If Stevenson Active)
Rhamondre Stevenson: FLEX, RB3
Terrell Jennings: SIT
If you’ve listened to my podcast or read any of my work this season, you’re well aware of my affinity for TreVeyon Henderson. Mike Vrabel‘s refusal to use him is the most bewildering decision since I thought it was a good idea to eat leftover pizza at 11 PM. But Henderson FINALLY had his breakout game with not one, but TWO rushing touchdowns of over 50 yards against the Bucs. He ran over 20 mph on both runs, hitting a top speed of 22.01 mph on his 55-yarder —the fastest by a rookie ball carrier this season, per Next Gen Stats. I wish I could say with confidence this breakout performance was enough to lock Henderson in as the Patriots’ leading back. But UDFA rookie Terrell Jennings handled the team’s first four rush attempts, and remember, it took injuries to Antonio Gibson, Rhamondre Stevenson, and apparently Jennings too for Henderson to get this type of volume. If Vrabel can get past his own ego and feed Henderson, he’s a borderline RB1 against a Jets defense allowing explosive runs at a 7.7% rate since Week 7. Guess who has the highest explosive run rate in the NFL since Week 7?

At the time of writing, Stevenson returned to practice on a limited basis, but nothing had been said in regards to his availability for Thursday. If he’s active, consider both FLEX options, for now.
Update: Stevenson has been ruled OUT. WHEELS UP FOR HENDO BAY BAY!!!!!!!!!!
Wide Receiver
Stefon Diggs: START, WR3
Kayshon Boutte
DeMario Douglas: FLEX, WR4
Kyle Williams: FLEX, WR5
Mack Hollins: FLEX, WR5
In this week’s edition of “Guess which Patriots receiver came out of nowhere to score a touchdown”, the answer was rookie Kyle Williams. The rook took a short play action pass to the house by turning on the turbo boosters to blow by the Bucs defense.

But the answer to who was the most valuable fantasy receiver in New England was actually Mack Hollins, who scored 16.6 fantasy points and saw 10+ targets for the first time since Week 3 of the 2022 season. Stefon Diggs did Diggs things, playing about 60% of snaps, catching a couple of passes, and coming down with a touchdown. Both Williams and DeMario Douglas only saw two targets each, and outside of Diggs, the Patriots’ receivers are impossible to predict every week. Kayshon Boutte returned to a limited practice, but at the time of writing, he is expected to miss the matchup with the Jets. In a solid matchup against a Jets defense that just got eaten alive by Jerry Jeudy, you can consider all but Diggs a risky FLEX option. Stefon’s solidified role earns him WR3 status.
Tight End
Hunter Henry: SIT
After a solid start to the season, Hunter Henry has scored fewer than eight fantasy points in five of his last six games. He’s not even a streaming candidate at this point.
Defense/Special Teams
New England Patriots: START
The Jets’ current starting WRs are Arian Smith, Adonai Mitchell, and Tyler Johnson.
